capri

i don't like crocs, but dh has some and he says they stop his bad ankle hurting so much. so, what about these?, they have the same cushioning on the sole as normal crocs, does anyone have a pair?

Not at 39 dollars, no - but they're preety inoffensive

kittylette · 07/06/2007 19:35

Admittedly they are not as bad, but i still dont think Id wear them because they are 'croc'-made, lol

coleyboy · 07/06/2007 19:47

How about Birkenstocks? They have an orthapedic footbed that moulds to the wearers foot.

Trinityrhino · 07/06/2007 19:49

not for 39 bucks
and no cayse I hate flip flops, worse than crocs

francagoestohollywood · 07/06/2007 19:49

they are quite nice flip flop. however, I wear flip flop only on the beach.

francagoestohollywood · 07/06/2007 19:50

39 quid?

Pinkchampagne · 07/06/2007 19:50

They are more attractive than the surgical clog design, but I wouldn't buy them personally

cylonbabe · 07/06/2007 19:51

they are flipflops.
scholl does a similar foorbed for £17 and i cant live without them. buy a new pair as soon as the old pari dies. have been wearing for ten years now.
birkenstock do noppy range with a similar footbed,. i want to try that soon.
i have tried my friends crocs like these lucy, and i think the scholl version is better.

Gingermonkey · 07/06/2007 19:52

have croc written on them - so no

MerryMarigold · 07/06/2007 19:53

i like them save for the large 'CROC' sign along them. i like all flip flops though. just that crocs seem to be some kind of sign for being a trendy right-on person, so i hate the name even though the shoes seem very good.

Gingermonkey · 07/06/2007 20:02

its the fact that you can get fake crocs on the market or asda for a fiver that really upsets me - I don't get why you'd want to copy them? Soon there'll be these flip flops with CRICS written on the side or CRACS or something selling for 2 pairs for 6 quid. I'm in a right grumpy mood tonight

Bouquetsofdynomite · 07/06/2007 20:37

Hang on...
"slender footbed profile with elevated heel constructed specifically for women?s feet"
i.e wedge heeled flipflops? I understand women neeeed heels for the usual reasons but I've never heard them hailed as good for you.

Gingermonkey · 07/06/2007 20:43

LOL, slip on those babies and you are in A&E for sure! Not so distressing when you arrive clutching a Jimmy Choo, but when you fall over on your wedge heel croc flip flop it's more than a little embarressing!!!!!!

electra · 07/06/2007 20:44

Ewwwww - no. Awful imo

Hulababy · 07/06/2007 20:46

Not for me, not at that price for flip flops!

I have Birkinstocks. Very comfortable, not as expensive and nicer designs IMO.

Gingermonkey · 07/06/2007 20:49

Don't birkenstocks get a bit whiffy? Especially if worn near water? (now I sound like I am defending the hideous croc flop, am not - just a litle curious)

mysteryshop · 07/06/2007 20:49

yucky.

but very slightly less yucky than the usual ones.

actually no.....just totally bleugh

Furball · 07/06/2007 20:50

I tried these on on Sunday they are about £29, which is pricey for a pair of flip flops but they were soooo comfy. I'm a 5 and it was small and they didn't have a 6 so didn't get them. I would say for a pair of comfy shoes that you know are comfy, they're great.

Furball · 07/06/2007 20:51

mysteryshop - they are flipflops FGS - what is there to hate?

Bouquetsofdynomite · 07/06/2007 20:59

Surely you could DIY it with some bathroom mastic and a pair of Primark flipflops?

Gingermonkey · 07/06/2007 21:00
Grin
heifer · 07/06/2007 21:15

only if I could tippex out the word CROC..

I have been so anti croc that I would never live it down..

I have to admit to once cutting a M&S label out of a pair of tracksuit bottoms I bought because I had given some older friends (hockey players) grief about shopping in M&S... (I was only about 20 at the time)...

lucykate · 07/06/2007 21:24

they are 39 dollars not £, translates to about £19, still expensive but i would shop around, try ebay maybe?

my right ankle is puffy (water retention, however tonight, i think its pimms retention ) and is bothering me on the walk to and from school so am looking for something supportive and i am a flip flop lover i'm afraid

not a fan of birkies

furball, where did you find a pair to try on?, i would prefer to try before i buy if possible.

Furball · 07/06/2007 21:28

A trendy shop in Cheltenham - don't even know what it's called. But there were loads of women buying normal crocs!

JodieG1 · 07/06/2007 21:32

Erm, no.
