Would you recommend a one off facial to improve skin?

I've never had one, and it's not within my budget to go regularly. I have blackheads and apparently the only way to get rid is with extraction but that most beauty salons are terrible at it and damage your skin more. That's just what Google told me Blush

Is this bollocks and my rural salon should be able to do a half decent job? Will be skin look 55 quid better afterwards?

I love a good facial and skin will glow for a few days after so good for your soul. It won’t work forever miracles though. I would make appointment and talk to therapist about your expectations. If you have lots blackheads do you have acne or oily skin - appointment with you GP may be good idea.

Don't have too many spots and these blackheads aren't huge. In fact I've only just recently noticed them when looking in a certain light. I know I've not just broken out though as they're in problem areas that never improve, bumpy big pores etc and I think my poor vision and poor lighting plus awkward position just means I've never spotted them.

I think I will keep as I am now, with lots of exfoliants and acid toner to try to get rid slowly. I've read that dehydrated skin could cause my look though which means stopping that. It's all a bit tricky to get right! Thank you for your help re facials.
