Haircuts and hairdressers

Anyone else look worse after the hairdressers than before? They always over product my hair so it ends up stuck to my head and looks greasy. They seldom get the colour just right. The greys are never all covered. The cuts always fine but grr I pay £££'s and come home and it's not until I wash and dry it myself that if feels any good. Just me?!

It depends, my hairdresser does a pretty rubbish blow-dry it's a bit half hearted. I love it when she's busy as she gets her assistant to do it she's amazing. My frizzy dry hair looks sleek and silky.

I hate the way hairdressers dry my hair. It’s quite short and I usually come out looking like I’ve been for a shampoo and set. Big is really not always better!

I love my hairdresser and the cut and colour she does is brilliant. She always blow dries my hair so it is enormous though and I hate it - and end up tying it back as soon as I get round the corner.

Actually sat right now with my colour on!

superfly2018 I agree with you on the hair colouring point...spends £££ and my grey is never all covered and even if it looks like it has it washes out in less then a week- I've have checked with them and they have assured me it's permenant. I do like the smoothness of the blow-dry

I got my hair cut from almost top of my backside up to just below shoulders. She said oh a wee treat for you ill make it all super bouncy (few layers but not much). Jesus fuckballs, she made me look 20 years older, did not look good and i couldnt wait to tie it back.

I had mine done today. I did don't like the results of the blow dry (too bouffant-y!) or the fringe. It's going to have those pointy side bits that I detest! Can't wait to wash it and straighten it!

My hairdresser gets the colour right and the cut Is fine. However I have the opposite problem to most of you in that I have extremely fine hair and she blow dries it to within an inch of its life. It always ends up flat as a fart with my ears sticking through. I have to mess it up, shake my head about and rub my fingers in my scalp to try and get some body back in it.

I used to, but not anymore. That said I’ve been prepared to get up out of the chair if I don’t think the hairdresser has the vibe that I want (I’ve learnt the hard way here). I think finding a hairdresser is a bit of a process, I only go on recommendation and have to like their style before I’ll book with them. I also take loads of pictures to the appointment with me, including pictures of what I don’t want, they also get the low down on what doesn’t work on my hair.

Yup, I'm on the hunt again as the last place is clueless with curly hair. They dry using the nozzle and take their fingers through so turning me into a big fluff ball. 2 different stylists same result.
