Denim Jacket, for the erm more mature ladies

Ok, so had a hankering for a denim jacket, I have lots of new quite ethnic long dresses (bit boho me!!). Last bought one in the late 80's Gap until it fell apart.

Most of the dresses are sleeveless, and I dont do arms out except in the garden where I cannot scare anyone..

So I saw a one in the Levis store, and tied it on..

Thought what the hell I dont care I bought it and I love it!

Goes great with my new dresses and the many scarfs and very chunky necklaces I have bought on my travels.

Ladies if you fancy something for a change go for it!

Agree wholeheartedly with you OP, if you love something get it ! I've been looking for a denim jacket for months but can't find one, probably because I'm looking for a style that doesn't exist (dark blue, slightly fitted and just a bit different - frayed edges or collarless etc) !

I recently bought a pair of Sacha white leather cowboy-style ankle boots. Have been wanting a pair of white boots for at least 2 years but always talked myself out of it... "will never wear them"... "will look like mutton dress as" (am 55) , etc. But, couldn't resist once I saw them in the shop, I love 'em ! Wear them all the time.

Your style sounds lovely Todam, as does your boots Black. Life is to short to be worrying about how young/old one should be for an item of clothing. Wear what makes you happy

Hi, Peanut I went for the traditional Trucker like the one below, its a slightly darker one, and as Im not in the UK I paid about £40! Have a look at TKMaxx they did have some denim jackets online a couple of weeks ago.

Black you made me laugh with those boots I had a pair of Wrangler ones like that quite a few years ago.

As I buy a lot of ethnic clothing, but good quality as I have learned the best places to get them, as I live in India I was wondering how to wear them in the UK, hence the denim jacket.

I have bought a lot of darker muted autumn coloured dresses in some gorgeous hand block prints, and have ordered some new boots from TKmaxx, I pick them up next week as Im back home for a while.

I will be floating around like an aged hippy (all be it with some fab silver jewellery, another shopping habit I have picked up here) and I dont care, and its great that my DH loves my look!!!!

Some nice pieces on that website, dont do any floral though but some very nice long necklaces.

Also got a bargain long quilted block print coat, all hand done its stunning just in time to wear as it will be chilly for me in the UK
