lissie - i tried that dress on and it looked bloody awful. like you I'm 5 foot not a lot. not quite as petite as you - size 9 (if it existed) and - funnily enough I too have red hair (not that that's relevant to that dress). It's a very girly style - and I think you can only get away with it if you really are girly. much over 25 (I'm 36) and it just looks frumpy - looks like you're trying too hard to be girly, when really you should be all womanly (which, let's face it, is generally a whole let sexier anyway) It's a great dress, but the syle is quite difficult - and in particular difficult to predict what it will look like on, iyswim. I'm not saying it will look bad on you - it could look brilliant - just warning you that it's a difficult one to wear

hatwoman · 06/06/2007 22:26

it was the spotty monsoon one I was talking about. I quite like the red one - but that waist bow could have a similar effect

lissie · 07/06/2007 07:19

hmm thanks hatwoman. i'm 29 so the spotty one may be out of the running. the prob is i dont really have awaist so would the bow on the coast one accentuate that?

you still a-huntin lissie?

have to stick my neck out here and say i would never wear coast to a wedding

odds way too high of having same dress on as someone else

be braver

go try on the phase eight dress - it'll be perfect i bet

lissie · 07/06/2007 09:15

ah, thats a good call. might have to take my lil sis to brum a-shopping!

I like the Coast one - it's very sexy. but I do know what mouse-person means. although I wore a Coast outfit to a wedding last year and no-one else was wearing it.

lissie · 07/06/2007 14:11

well, been into coast and monsoon today tried on a fab dress in monsoon but cant find it on their site. think it may be a bit casual tho and coast size 10 is too big for me on my hips. an 8 is WAY too small
