Lip Ink........................... help urgently required from Style novice

The Lip Ink I bought over 10 years ago (I kid you not), has finally given up the ghost (shows you how often I wear make-up).

I got it from The Body Shop and it was like a felt tip pen that just sort of stained the lips.

They don't do it any more.

Can anyone advise of an alternative??

i used to love a lip and cheek tint that hte body shop did, but they stopped doing that as well

it's annoying when that happens

oggsfrog · 06/06/2007 10:03

{blush} badly phrased...

I'm a style novice, I'd actually like help from a style expert

They've also stopped selling those little bottles of oil that they filled up there and then .... when did that happen????

I used to mix two of them together to make my own unique smell, and the last two bottles I bought (again about 10 years ago ) are sadly almost empty.

this looks good despite the really annoying american video where she says "erbs" instead of herbs

actually the video is quite funny for the awfulness of it

Aargh.

Too much choice, too smiley, too complicated, probably costs too much too...

Blardy Body Shop.

Are you sure they have stopped doing the lip ink,i got one at xmas from a body shop party i went to,have you tried the website?

theres always Benefits "benetint" i have never tried it but it's supposed to be fab.

lou33 · 06/06/2007 10:14

there are load of lip ink type things, i am pretty sure avon do them

oggsfrog · 06/06/2007 10:20

The ones on The Body Shop website are a sort of wand that you dip in a tube.

The one I had was literally like a felt tip pen.
No gooiness, glossiness, stickiness etc

maybe I could actually use a felt tip pen

Try Benefit's Benetint - nice rose scented liquid for cgheeks as well as lips - goes on matt and stays put !

lou33 · 06/06/2007 10:24

am sure avon do a felt tip style one

oggsfrog · 06/06/2007 10:42

This is the only one I can find by Avon, and they are all too pink (and the word luminous puts me off)

Gah

what about their
Perfect Wear Extralasting Lip Colour

ash6605 · 06/06/2007 10:49

that's the oneIi have from the body shop-it does look as if it's going to be a gloss but it isn't.it is a lip and chhek stain.it's not at all sticky or shiny.

lou33 · 06/06/2007 10:50

what kind of colour do you want again?

i have to go into town in a bit i will go and peruse for you

MrsBadger · 06/06/2007 11:04

Benetint pen thing

you do have to dip it in a tube but it is fairly foolproof...

oggsfrog · 06/06/2007 11:20

Just want something to make my lips a bit darker and not look like I'm actually wearing anything.

A sort of reddy brown.

The one I've got is "something topaz" (can't read it as it's all worn out what with being over 10 years old )

Maybe I'll give the Body Shop one a whirl.

i'd just use a slightly darker lipliner if i were you, but all over your lips
