Outfit advice required for attending 'chic' garden party please.....

Next Saturday, garden party for 30/40 pax.

lOts of upmarket folk going [dh and I will b ethe token underclass ]

I am thining nice jeans, I saw lovely cream/gold longish vest top that I could team with a belt and wear gold flip flops.

Dh says no to jeans, dress like a lady he says.

Suggesstions please.

johnson's summer skin moisturisey stuff and a longish skirt won't leave you too exposed/white. tights if it's warm will be hell

OK, not at work now, I love the Hobbs dress. That is ver Pretty Woman isn't it?

Hostess is early 30's, slim, attractive, lovely clothes, not often dresses tho, dresses quite ethnic. Lots of beads and wide legged trews and stuff.

Actually I have a lovely white deep v neck top with 3/4 sleeves it's very fitted and quite long. How about that with some navy wide legged trews (alreday have), some wedges and just treat myslef to cool long pendant and ear rings?
