Lingerie. Is there anything for the maturer lady that blends the triangle formed by 'M&S onesie', 'Bank Account Emptier Silk' and 'Anne Summers crotchless'?

In my head there must be a really nice looking range of underthings that give Support (I'm 50 - things go south) and are pleasantly suggestive rather than aggressively tits out? Do I end up paying hundreds?

Bravissimo have a couple of really lovely bras. Not sure if they do knickers though.

Processedpea · 24/08/2018 21:59

La redoute has a good range very French Grin

I'm only a C cup though, and probably going to be heading towards B cup as I've lost a stone+ so far and am aiming for another two stone which will probably be mostly off the tits! Doesn't that put me out of Bravissimo territory?

The ideal thing would be some kind of slippy type thing that covers the stomach...

Have you been Bra Interventioned?

AtiaoftheJulii · 24/08/2018 22:03

Bluebella.

La Redoute! Great call. Having a look now. Still keen on finding others?

Bravissimo no good to you, nope.

annandale · 24/08/2018 22:05

Hm, no, not seriously. I tend to buy my bras at M&S but I don't ever get measured there after the notorious 'You're a 44c' - 'Oh [shit]! well could I try some on?' 'Oh we don't do anything in THAT size' incident of 2003.

Here’s a link to the basic Bra Intervention method. Well worth a try from what you’ve said - could make a huge difference to the way you look, even in a basic Rosie HW M&S bra.

Rigby and pellor.. Cost a lot but absolutely worth it. Fit is fantastic, not fuddy duddy but very comfortable.
I also wear a lot of what Katie did as I like retro styling but find many retro peices are excellent at constructing a good shape from a menopausal body.
Debenhams always have good lingerie departments..

Hm, I seem to be a 38D by that measurement - was wearing 40D before I lost weight, had bought a 38C because the cups were flapping in the wind. I have occasionally tried the bra intervention in a very amateur way but I'm perhaps unusual in being genuinely very broad in the back with widely spaced eggs on the front, so it doesn't seem to affect the size much.

Bluebella slightly frightening with all the straps Shock but I'm going to try this one which has the otherwise hard to find Support. Great price.
