who'd pay 695 for a soddin' 'andbag?

blimey

soapbox · 05/06/2007 18:06

I agree Jools - you see them queueing up to buy them though at Selfridges adn Harvey Nicks - so there are plenty people who do!

I do have one full price Mulberry one that DH bought me for Christmas one year which cost more than I would part with!

otherwise I just scavenge in TK Maxx

Lact8 · 05/06/2007 18:08

This is my new bag

Not sure if it counts as summer bag but i love it

hoxtonchick · 05/06/2007 18:09

i have a great circa bag from tk maxx soapy. and rather a nice bright pink billy bag tote.

JoolsToo · 05/06/2007 18:55

I don't know why but that bag put in mind of the Flintstones?

havE i Finally lost it?

Lact8 · 05/06/2007 19:34

LOL JoolsToo

No not mad, now i look at it again on the website it is tres Betty

(I always thought she seemed to be a bit more glam than Wilma)

fryalot · 05/06/2007 19:35

can't

Used it so much before you gave us permission that the little straw bits that connect it to the cutesy little wooden handle have come undone.

So have been using the winter one.

Best buy a new summer one then?

Surfermum · 05/06/2007 19:54

Is it OK if I ditch the handbag and just have some of these:

It was just a fluke Cod - have a couple of days of work, so took the children to school and went straight to TK Maxx. I was spoiled for choice though - there were loads more I would have quite happily given a home to

They've opened a jewellery counter too in the one near me, which had some lovely junky jewellery - along with some stonking diamonds at a cool £1000! Not what I imagine popping out to TK Maxx for!

Oh and great selection of flip flops and summery sandals too!

And, Edina Roney night wear - lovely black cotton loungy pj sets and short flippy black cotton nighties and wrap around dressing gowns!

Great, great, great selection of girls swimsuits too - got 2 lovely ones for my DD's birthday! I bought her a pretty hand bag too - was £2 - LOL!!!!

grr i did not see this still have transitional one. mind you was freezing this morning.

white handbag at dawn tomorrow though.

bozza · 06/06/2007 09:37

Hmm still using black one for work. Not sure this is right. You were supposed to advise me on this last summer cod.

This week I have been using a small green cheapy one on non-work days. I have been on the summery ones for about a month now.

Still not sure the black one is great with pastel sandals, dusky pink linen skirt, white embroidered blouse - we are business casual.

MrsJC ... I hear you darling ... 5 years later I still can't get used to it ...
Having said that, why don't you go out and get yourself a nice new WINTER handbag to make yourself feel better?

bozza · 06/06/2007 10:58

Ditch the black and replace with what? Is tan ok for work? Or should I have an orange bag with my dusky pink skirt and white blouse?

MrsJohnCusack · 06/06/2007 11:04

in NZ cod - I know you think it's the end of the world (well it pretty much is)

anyhow, it's not going to snow here anywhere - DH doesn't seem to have got used to the idea that when they talk about snow in this general area they often mean on the bleeding great MOUNTAINS rather than here by the sea

ghosty, might just go and do that - toting a revolting studentesque number at the moment, most distressing

kittypants · 06/06/2007 11:10

love first link cod.my summer bag is stripey canvas.blue and white with red handles.
