I'm away for a business trip next week and just got the agenda. One of the nights has the following dress code:

"evening stylish party wear"

I was thinking of images.channeladvisor.com/Sell/SSProfiles/60000193/Images/10/Blog7-29-06__2.jpg as thats what I think of when you say party wear but as am nearly 40 it may not be that stylish.

So - wtf is 'evening stylish party wear' and where can i get it?

does is specifially NOT say black tie?

I'd wear a cocktail-type dress,
or a glam evening top and widelegged trousers.
or possibly a plaininsh top and a glam prommy type skirt.

Peruse Monsoon, Coast, Phase Eight, Hobbs and Debenhams. Avoid anything that means you could be mistaken for either a bridesmaid or the mother of the bride

aha
I think it means Not Quite Black Tie ie they don't want the chaps to feel they have to rent a suit.

Suggestions below stand... also have a look in Wallis and Principles
