I don't do style.

I do jeans and work clothes and that is it.

LGJ legs it before Cod turns up.

Seriously, bump this in the morning you will get a better response.

What size?

MrsBadger · 05/06/2007 09:53

what size, shape and colouring are you?
what's you usual style?

is wedding day or evening? black tie? white tie? is there church service or similar neccesitating covered shoulders?

have you tried the usual suspects (Monsoon, Debenhams, Coast, Phase Eight)?

budget?

If you're a 10 would you like to borrow one?

MrsBadger · 05/06/2007 09:53

oh, and where abroad?

Trix11 · 07/06/2007 20:14

Mrs badger sorry for late reply. The wedding is in Marbella its a late afternoon civil wedding. I have tried the usual places, even got a dress from the 'fairy' range at coast but I have already worn it so need to find another!!

MrsBadger · 07/06/2007 20:51

when you say you've worn it before do you mean to an event with the same people?

If not then wear it again!

Trix11 · 07/06/2007 20:59

Yes, an event with a lot of the same people, not long ago.

ah, damn

some bargainous eveningwear that not everyone will be wearing here

size / shape / colouring?

have one made
-- pick up fabric NOT in posh shop. buy pattern, not expensive and there will be someone local who can put it together for you, if you look. Even a mate, one of those whose children always have the best costumes on Roman Day. People always know someone who knows someone. Ask local am dram people, they always have costume makers and could give you a name. A nice long posh frock could cost 120-200 and you can have one "couture" for loads less but still without exploiting the lady whose made it. Have just had one made for 40 quid and its simple, gorgeous and unique. good luck.

size 8-10

shape - normal
dark hair
5' 4 small

MrsBadger · 07/06/2007 21:35

8-10 and not top or bottom heavy?!
wear whatever the hell you like!

maybe something in a vivid colour - it'll look great in the sun and with your dark hair - perhaps a red.
Go carefully on the length though as something calf length on a taller woman (eg this ) could swamp you.

MrsBadger · 07/06/2007 21:37

...meant to say a floor- or knee-length dress would be be fine, and if it's that formal floor would be the thing.

Trix11 · 09/06/2007 21:44

But the hard thing is finding something I like. All the ones I like are on Net a porter and I cant afford them
