Well this thread is going well - safe-and--middle-aged and mutton all on the first page. Look call yourselves whatever names you like, crack on, but when you use ageist stereotypes and meat metaphors you're bringing all women into it.
Anyway thoughts on the jacket. I'm going to assume it's the 'bomber' word that set off alarm bells because I honestly can't see anything else. Bombers, trainers and hoodies are all things that were once part of a youth style. Once. But before you can lay claim to a youth style, you first have to create one for yourselves and this generation hasn't bothered. I think it's a shame but the bonus is that even the hippest of high street shops (and I don't think Boden has ever claimed to be that) have got some clothes that are perfectly wearable. At the moment, I see no need for any of us to worry.
Which doesn't mean we still suit the clothes we wore when we were young. You change. That jacket would have suited me when I was 20 with the body of a flagpole but in late middle age my arse has widened and my thighs have thickened. So now it would bypass my waist (which I like to show off while I still have one) and probably, because I'm short, finish smack in the middle of my thighs, drawing the eye to my widest point. So in that sense, I have grown too old for it. That doesn't mean every other woman has. As I'm always saying on here, we don't all look the same. If you want to post a bit more about your shape, best and worst features etc then we might be better able to advise.
