Please help me oh mumsnet style gurus!

Have charity do at the end of the month (will be 28 weeks, thanks for the warning DH!) and a ball in July (will be 29/30 weeks)

Very formal Charity and Forces events so dress must touch floor - which is impossible to find! Was size 14 pre-pregnancy.

Will fawn forever at the feet of anyone who can help!

does formes still exist?

had a fab linen dress that touched the floor - but bought it for dd1's pregnancy over 6 years ago . I lvoed that dress, was a great shape and v comfy. Wore it to a couple of christenings and a wedding.

formes, definitiely. they have lots of lovely stuff

www.formes.com/en/EShopping.aspx

go to the shop and look even if you don't see what you need there though as they often have stuff that's not listed on the site

LilRedWG · 04/06/2007 16:15

GinGirl - where abouts do you live? I have this in medium.

Tutter · 04/06/2007 16:18

another site - this time formal gowns to buy (click through to pages 2 and 3 for full length frocks)

MrsBadger · 04/06/2007 16:25

until last week Jojo had a floorlength aqua dress but it has GORN.
another hire site inc some very formal officers-wife type stuff
gorgeous but very pricey stuff to buy

Tutter · 04/06/2007 16:28

mrsbee, that's my friend's shop

if you want anything i can get you a discount (prolly)

yogimum · 04/06/2007 16:42

isabella oliver has a lovely long white dress on their website. Might not be formal enough though.

GinGirl · 04/06/2007 16:46

Ladies... I knew you'd come up trumps!

Will browse through all those suggestions tonight but please keep them coming! Love the maxi dress from IO but trying to keep an eye on the pennies at the same time.

Am in Bucks so that shop in Bourne End Mrs Badger suggested may be the very thing!

Thank you so much, fawn fawn

There's a shop on Kew Green (W London, so possibly too far?) which does formal wear for large ladies and maternity, but the name escapes me ATM. Argh - it's on the tip of my tongue! I'll try to remember and post it.

moodlumthehoodlum · 04/06/2007 17:36

Sorry its been said before but formes is great i got a stretchy black long floor length dress and they always have lots of stuff in the shop.

MrsBadger · 08/06/2007 21:40

InternationalMouseOfMystery · 08/06/2007 21:41
