I desperately need some new clothes, tops mainly but and doing well losing weight so don't want to spend a fortune.
What's primark like. Is it cheap crap or value for money.
Don't have on near so would mean trip.
Also would tesco or george do instead.
Sometimes find they dont have great selection or not my size.
Am 16/18 at moment

Primark is heaven for summery tops, but you have to:

a) Go to one of the bigger stores with plenty of choice / sizes

b) Get there when it first opens in the morning before people ransack the nicely merchandised displays and you are left with a jumble sale-style melee (too muc hard work finding stuff in the heap)

c) Have an idea of what you are looking for (smock top? vest top? etc etc) so you can head straight for that section, grab loads of versions of that style and try on..

Take it from a Primark Pro! xxx

avoid the smock tops - I see women wearing them and they just look like maternity tops

I ahve an 8 month old too!

Peacocks are reasonably priced & have some nice bits. And the outfits look nice in all sizes..i know with some shops when you look past a size 14 the tops just look awful.

As are Mark One, New Look & Ethel Austin

Primark is lovely but the only thing i'd beware of is sizing & the fit of some of the clothing. Alot of their things can look nice on the hanger but awful on. Their underwear sizing (knickers in paticular) are out of whack, I constantly buy a size up...might just be my big bum

I think smocks can look nice, you just have to find the right ones. They're probably best to try on.

Hope this helps

Oh yeah and with some primark stores...on a sunday i believe you can go in from 10am..look around/make selections then actually purchase from 11am. Which is very useful, especially if u go to the Romford branch!!
