Hour glass, mid 40's, dress for "ball" where should I look?

I've got a ladies only charity event, not particularly "posh" but lots of people from my home area will be there and I'm conscious that I want to look glamorous but age appropriate. I'm a curvy 14/16 and don't want to pay more than about £150. Any suggestions would really be appreciated.

Adrianna Papell Grin find a sale or eBay one and you’re winning

I’ve got this one, doesn’t look much in the eBay pics but it’s a stunner Wink

Thanks for replying, I think the beaded one is a little too heavy and I really wanted to buy new so I could try at home.

How about the Pretty Dress company? Would something like this work?

They also have cocktail dresses if you don't want to go full-length:

Virgo's Lounge also has some good hourglass styles:

Thanks inthemane, I like the style of the first one but perhaps in a different fabric. I’m going to have a scroll through the sites you posted. Thank you : )

Some Bombshell dresses under £150 in the sale. Good for hourglasses

Check out TK Maxx Website, always my first port of call for such things.

Eastpoint · 19/08/2018 08:21

I rented last time I had to go to a black tie event, I tried TK Maxx etc & it worked out really well.

Karen Millen sale

I have just ordered first time ever from Bombshell, they have dresses for £69. These are fully wrap, so adjustable; they probably don't squeeze you in so much but are more easily adjustable. There are some very reasonable little black dresses.
