Havaianas... what makes em different to just basic ol' flip flops?

Apart from the cost

Are they "special" in some way other than that they have a name iyswim.

Wanting to flip flop most of the summer and wondering if the outlay now (which I know isn't huge, but its a lot more than £2 from tesco) would be a better plan.

they are so damn comfortable, and have never had a blister, even when new and hot and sweaty!!

so over-priced in britain though! anywhere else, at least half the price!

haven't seen them in oz - or probably have but did not realise what they were!!

compared to 22 pounds - $19 is very cheap - 22 quid works out at over 50 dollars!!!

yup still make them - I remember when good old white double pluggers were the footwear to be seen in at the beach.

Havaianas last really well - I have a pink and white pair from last summer and they still look great. And yes, they are extremely comfortable as well as prettier.

I find Havaianas extremely uncomfortable, to be honest. They really rub betwene my toes. I made the mistake of buying 5 pairs in one go in Miami last year, as my sister was raving about them. They blistered my feet within an hour and are now sitting in my wardrobe gathering dust.

What size?

Do we know any rl shops that stock them? Thinking trying them on could be a plan...

I am a convert, I have about 5/6 pairs they are ridiculously comfortable and LoveAngel is just about the only person I've ever heard that doesn't find them comfy. I think that they are probably worth the £20 even though that is vastly over priced.

I don't have any but DD has some that BIL brought back from Brazil and she lives in them (and won't wear normal flip flops because they hurt). I want the same ones as her (at her request) but am finding it hard to find them, they are white with the brazil flag on the strap bit and I need a size 7 if someone can find them for me!!!!!

They are ace! Much comfier than any other flip-flops - more supportive thicker sole, don't fade or lose pattern, lushy colours. I love 'em but wish I could get them for whatever they are sold for in Brazil

Mind you, I can't wear flipflpops at all.

Colours are lovely. But a rip off! they are 19 euros in Italy compared to England's 22 pounds. And in Brasil they cost probably not more than 5 euros...

I got most of mine in Brazil and they cost about £2

i have some - not sure re sizing - mine are on large size - who else has them that is a size 5
