So I'm just wondering where you buy your daughters shoes for secondary school? Can you still get them from Clark's? Is there another shop which sells solid school shoes but more trendy? Any tips Smile

My daughter has lace up brogues too, hers are start right ones with a chunky sole.

Cocolepew · 13/08/2018 12:46

DD got hers from Schuh , their own make. They were patent Mary Jane type, lasted all year with hardly a mark on them.

Schuh - brilliant. Doc Martens especially

RazzleDazzle3 · 13/08/2018 12:54

Kicker loafers from sports direct

gnatgnu · 13/08/2018 12:59

We got the same ones as MrsPnut - available from John Lewis

Also watching with interest. DD doesn't want lace ups so I'm looking for ideas also.

My dd wants brogues but we have bought them a couple of times and they never fit well. I will have a look at schu I never thought of there :)

Dd found the schuh ones I linked to very comfy and they never gave her blisters

rainingcatsanddog · 13/08/2018 22:24

My dd is going into y11 and has been wearing brogues since y4.

InflagranteDelicto · 13/08/2018 22:26

Dd1 has docs. Many girls in our area (ds at a different school) do. They are great, and withstand the amount of walking that they have to do.

sexnotgender · 13/08/2018 22:27

DD is 14 and docs, she went for the shoe brogue style.

WilburIsSomePig · 14/08/2018 08:09

We went for these in the end, she's happy. It's a bloomin minefield sometimes, she tells me that they all wear black trainer socks now instead of ankle socks, which I think will look daft. But what do I know. Grin
