I do a sun junkie spray every week (because I am blessed) with skin the colour of death. It's not orange at all - DH is not a fan of fake but he was pleasantly surprised.

oliveoil · 06/06/2007 10:07

what about Johnsons Skin?

(and yes I am sure there are 342 threads already but I can't be arsed looking. I am 'working'!)

Gingermonkey · 06/06/2007 10:08

where did the ( ) come from there?

Gingermonkey · 06/06/2007 10:08

johnsons is pretty good too, but st trop is best

Enid · 06/06/2007 10:08

I have used the Clarins one for 2 summers. It smells lovely, gives a great even light colour on my (pretty fair) skin and never seemed to streak. I ran out and bout the St TrOP daily - admittedly I did buy the dark one - basically it is a fake tan, not particularly moisturising and the tan is very dark. ALSO it has made my calves very dry . AND it doesnt smell v nice.

am using it liberally and then will buy more Clarins.

BishyBarneyBee · 06/06/2007 10:09

NO!

not johnsons unless you like having orange stripey legs.

Gingermonkey · 06/06/2007 10:09

no enid, the daily moisturising one, not the boot polish one

Enid · 06/06/2007 10:09

(I use both on my face btw - actually the st trop isnt bad on the face)

Enid · 06/06/2007 10:10

This IS the daily moisturising one! The Everyday. The one I hve is fake tan, no more no less.

Enid · 06/06/2007 10:10

(I have the boot polish one as well )

Gingermonkey · 06/06/2007 10:11

well I never - I use it on my face (only tho coz of weekly spray tan) and it is rather good. Agree it smells a bit weird, but am used to smelling slightly funny

now I have got the hang of it it is OK - use it like a fake tan

the Clarins one I just used to slap on after a shower and never thought much abuot it. Takes abuot three days to get a lovely natural colour.

whatever one you use, wear gloves to apply it or scrub your hands with a brillo pad coz otherwise you have dodgy coloured palms and look like you have addsions disease (my GP actually sent me for blood tests once because he was concerned with my palms!!!!! LOL)

(what id you say on the MM thread?)

binkleandflip · 06/06/2007 10:16

You should use moisturiser as a barrier around your ankles/heels/elbows and knees

Gingermonkey · 06/06/2007 10:16

ooooh, yes - a bit of vaseline around the ankles is a good tip (my sil has very dodgy ankles at the mo - bright orange but the rest of her is lily white)
