Tall, forties, size 16, need better ideas for where to buy clothes!

For the first time in my life I don't really have a budget for clothes, I could in fact go out and spend a few thousand if I wanted to. However: they're all, mostly, horrible. I don't like most clothes and have lost my sense of style totally. I would at a push say I mostly wear trousers from Toast and a few boring tops to go with them. Shoes are a nightmare. I've had a good look round Cos, Toast, Margaret Howell. I pretty much loathe Boden, White Stuff etc and I only get things in FatFace because they're easy.

What am I missing? If you're like me physically, where do you shop?

I could really do with some help so if you have anything to share - anything at all - I'd be truly grateful!

Honestly, in your shoes I'd probably book a session with a personal shopper.

What's your style or style aspiration? Chic? Bohemian? Glamorous?
