It's been said before but it bears repeating.
At best 'your size' in one shop is an indication of what might fit you in that shop and a starting point elsewhere.
It is not 'your size' in any other sense. You are not a number, shops are not all the same.

I agree. Best not to fixate on size too much and try things on to get a good fit. Personally I don't really get vanity sizing.. I think most of us don't give two hoots what actual size we are as long as the clothes fit nicely and look good. Would be much better if everywhere was true to size with standard measurements.
