My pores are large naturally, and lately I’ve become really hung up about it. I’ve tried various things over time, but would be great to hear your favourites. I’m 40, drink loads of water, diet and lifestyle all good (mainly) but very combination skin and large, obvious pores.

Try Benefit's POREfessional liquid.

Watching with interest, as I have the same problem. I am OBSESSED with my large pores and feel like everyone is staring at my face in horror. It seems a lot worse in this hot sweaty weather too.
I used Paula's Choice BHA for a while, but not sure it made much difference.
I don't just want to cover them up, I want them to GO AWAY, but I don't think it's biologically possible.
Any experts/dermatologists on here that could advise about more heavy-duty treatments?

Oh rats I was literally going to invest in some Paula’s choice then read your reply. Benefit P doesn’t do anything, mainly I’d like to look at decent skincare before makeup/covering.

I used to have big pores but find them much less noticeable these days. I've been using Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish for a few years, I wonder if that's made the difference?

It's consistently won tons of beauty awards, maybe give it a try - it's a great cleanser, and really moisturising too.

Chicinwellies · 06/08/2018 22:52

Thanks, I’ve not had any joy with Liz Earle despite having tried it a lot.

I’ve been using a glycolic gel, 15% I think for around a year up to 3 times a week when I remember, it has made some difference but not massive amounts. Better than before though.

Ok thank you. Would love to reduce overall pore size .

Niod Mastic Must

I always get compliments about how glowing/good my skin looks after I’ve used it. I don’t have particularly large pores, but it is supposed to help minimise them.

I copied this from the product web page:
(Note: It is not possible to modify the genetically-determined number or size of pores as apparent in optimal skin condition. However, pores do become more apparent in number and size with ageing and environmental exposure. MM works to restore the appearance of pores to an ideal state, within individual genetic limits.)

Body shop tea tree pore minimiser. Does what it says on the tub! And it's cruelty free.
