Ok I am early fifties live in the UK in a wet part of the world and we have a dog. Ever since watching Keeping Faith drama I have been obsessed with a yellow jacket are these naff or not for walking the dog nipping to the shops and which is bette, I know the last one is a bit Paddingron bear or should I forget it? I thought the yellow would be nice and bright in the winter as I hate full dark winter colours? Has anyone got a Seasalt jacket and are they value for money and practical et?

I just had to buy an emergency raincoat as I forgot mine when going away. I popped into the local Sainsbury's and they had bright yellow raincoats like this half price in the sale. Might be worth checking there if you want one!

The keeping faith one is the Joules Coast Mac in mustard. There's a whole Instagram thread dedicated to it!
THICKET gets 15% off in Joules at the moment.
We were taking about this over on the Hush thread last night - quite a few of us there have Seasalt macs or have just bought them in the sale. They are very good quality, I have a Kellifray that has lasted for ages and still going strong.
I have this Mustard Mac from NewLook which is great, £29.99, double lined and quilted and very waterproof.

Thanks all. That looks gorgeous on you Ellapaella and you look very pretty. Can you link to the other thread please?
I am certainly not instamum material and I get what someone’s mum said about the deep sea fishing comment 😂. I will nip
Down to Sainsbury’s and Matalan and i can’t get one that works with my tall broad shouldered body I think I might have to bite the bullet and at least order the Seasalt one to try it out in my own home.
My hair is curly unruly and has golden and auburn highlights in but I think I quite suit the colour I just wasn’t sure whether it was too bold or too naff Paddington/Deep Sea Fisherman - ish for me to carry off at my age.

The seasalt one is better as it doesn't have the toggles.
I'd go for a bright yellow one.
I think I've seen some in Sainsburys

I have auburn hair with golden highlights too and I think the yellow looks nice on me Grin

Around here they’re just a nice sensible jacket. We don’t really take much notice of instamums.

Exactly the attitude Ms Dearheart herself would have taken.

I have become weirdly obsessed with finding out exactly which coat Faith's is. (Weird mainly because it's so bloody popular on t'internet that I am expecting the world to be wearing them this winter, so I probably wouldn't buy it anyway.)

Articles all seem to say it's the Joules Coast jacket, but it's definitely not. Faith's is longer and has a drawstring waist.

Gah!

Whitney168 · 17/08/2018 14:44

Ha, so obsessed I have finally managed to answer my own question. It's the Joules Coastline, not the Coast.
