Is it just me - or do reviewers always tell fibs

Since I'm very pale, I have tried various fake tans over the years but always hate the smell on me so I don't really bother and only use a bronzing gel on my legs on the very occasional times when I decide to wear a skirt.

However, when I read a review of a product that says "you won't smell of biscuits", my ears prick up and I often buy said product. This time, it's the St.Tropez Self Tan Purity Bronzing Water. Went on wonderfully, smelled lovely, two hours later I stink! And it's never of biscuits that I'd like to eat anyway.

Is it just me?

I use Balance Me tanning drops and they honestly don’t smell.
I use it on my face so I’d notice. Was using the Clarins one but that does smell slightly biscuity.

I think this is personal - I don't tend to ever smell of biscuits after tanning; but I've used exactly the same bottle with a friend and she's had the biscuit aroma for a few days afterwards.

It must be a skin thing?

I definitely don't smell for a few days. Once I have a shower, I'll be back to normal so sounds like there is a personal element to it all. So I am the problem Grin

Interesting that it's possible not to smell using a different brand ReckitWralf The Balance Me drops seem to have a travel size so I won't waste too much money if I try them.
