Loose Alternative to Skinny jeans/jeggings

I'm sat her in my pjs, drinking red wine with a blanket over me and it has me pondering colder weather. I've been suffering for the last 5 years from a bad tear / late follow up surgery/ complications. Last winter I unknowingly had an infection in a hole that no one investigated when my pain went through the roof. 3.5 month of an infection has left me in awful pain since. We went to a music festival yesterday and I wanted to wear jeggings but they were too painful for me to wear and I ended up in a dress and wellies. This has me worried, when winter comes what do I wear? Anything tight causes pain, including tights. I have a pair of slouch work trousers a size too big that are ok. What are my other option to wear in cold weather? I'm pear shaped and tall so buying trousers/jeans etc are always a pain in the ass.

Help please ladies!

That sounds awful you poor thing.on the plus side baggie stuff has started to reappear in the shops; you could try something like this?

Harem pants are still going strong and are so comfy! My Hush harems got me through 2 post natal phases, one pregnancy and still get pulled out now as they're like pjs you can wear in public.

I have a pair similar to that for the summer @hugoagogo but I normally live in skinny jeans & knee high flat boots; I'm not sure how to translate that into Autumn/Winter wear?

I've looked at the Hush hareems @Errrrrrr but I'm not sure they'd suit my big bottom/thighs & fit my long legs? I may need to hunt a pair out in JL

Yes sorry I'm short so can't say if they'd fit you! Deffo worth trying some on. What about those paper bag waist trousers too? They seem much more forgiving around the waist. Hope you find something that works soon!

Could you wear stockings with midi or maxi skirts instead of tights?

Politicalacuityisathing · 29/07/2018 21:35

Cropped wide leg jeans with ankle boots, cosy cashmere socks when really cold with an fluffy roll between Jean and boot on colder days and flash of skin on other days

Opaque stockings may be the way forward for work as I have a lot of midi dresses/skirts.

@Politicalacuityisathing your suggestion sounds fab but probably far too stylish for me to carry off
