dress and wellies for farm show

I have a date this weekend to a farm/agricultural show (2nd date) The weather is meant to be showers on and off all day (after a day of very heavy rain) but still warm.....so I was thinking of wearing a dress (I have agreen floral floaty dress) for the heat but with wellies (MN tried to autocorrect that to willies ) for the wet ground and showers...... Is that a diabolical idea or sensible and reasonably stylish?? Does anyone have any pics of their similar outfits for inspo?

When I lived in the country the standard ladies summer attire was shorts and wellies.

I would probably wear something like Converse which can go in the washing machine afterwards. Or cheap "plimsolls" from Primark or the like and just chuck them afterwards.

haha thanks DontCallMeCharlottle I definitely won't be wearing shorts....my thighs ain't what they used to be...... hmmm Never thought about little plimsoles. I do have a couple of cheap pairs I wouldn't mind getting dirty I just don't want my feet getting soaked

Could you wear some verucca socks with them? (not quite as sexy as the shorts/wellies combo but needs must?)
