What to wear with this skirt, as a wedding guest?

Just bought this lovely skirt to wear, hopefully, to a casual field-based wedding on Saturday. But I can’t work out what top to wear with it! In the UK so will be very hot but probably need at least a pashmina/similar to make sure my shoulders don’t burn... Also want to avoid black or white tops, as it’s a wedding.

I’m 27 and will be in flats, in case that affects the answer. All inspiration and views gratefully accepted, please help!

I think I’d pick out the orange colour in the bottom and get just a plain orange top.

Dorothy Perkins have some nice summer tops in, and what about a kimono to go over it all, something light and cool.

Red, orange, yellow or a pale blue woiluld work with tan sandals. Don’t wear a shawl as you will overheat. Carry a parasol!

And maybe have a look on ebay or amazon (or in a local shop) for a red parasol for sun protection!

Agree re a simple orange top, but something fitted to define your waist. Also, where's the skirt from...really like it!

Scoop neck top in black, orange, red, white. Gold or silver sandals.

What colour sandals are you going for ? Do you already have them ?

Depending on sandal colour a Red, Orange or Coral would work really well.

Is that a dark red band at the hem?

I'd pick that colour, as if you wear orange in a field you will have every wasp and bee for miles around thinking you are a flower!

Wear a straw sunhat too, maybe dress it up with ribbon or a scarf the same colour as your top.

Although you've said not a white top, a silky white cami with a black kimono style jacket would go best with the busy pattern of the skirt and protect you from the sun, perhaps add a white hat with a black scarf knotted around, you wouldn't look bridal nor too sombre.

I’d wear a red coloured silk cami tucked in & a cropped lightweight blazer/jacket. Personally I can’t stand pashminas

Yes pick out the orange or red from the hem, simple vest top, and wear with black and white geometric necklace.

I’d had the same thought re picking out the colour from the hem, but am very pale (and blonde) so not sure I can pull off red... or a sort of gold/mustard... But I think I’ll try some on and see how I get on.

The Debenhams link was spot on in terms of style, but not so much the colour. I’ve not yet decided on shoes, need to have a look through my little collection today and choose something.
