neveradullmoment99 · 02/08/2018 10:40

Pretty please?????? Smile

Laska5772 · 02/08/2018 10:40

....but perhaps it was these

...and perhaps not.. I mean, after all, dont need them , as its not winter here yet (hee hee) .. but they are less 'summer'..

Dont buy them though .

Laska5772 · 02/08/2018 10:42

Coat not here yet..Postie should arrive before lunch though.. (he has half an Island to get round before us)

neveradullmoment99 · 02/08/2018 10:42

I have them already. Was wearing them with the Antibes top and the cutwork top. I really like them. Good purchase. Had them since after xmas.

dontcallmelen · 02/08/2018 10:43

@Theonly that dress looks so lovely on you, the colour is fab.
@SoYo hope you like the boden swimwear, it’s usually really flattering & quality is good..

Laska5772 · 02/08/2018 10:44

never are they true to size?* I got the 12 but because of reviews nearly went for the 14 s well..

neveradullmoment99 · 02/08/2018 10:46

I have a round mum tum and the 12 fit me fine. I think the 12's should be fine. I think they are true to size but I am a different shape from you.

ilovecherries · 02/08/2018 10:46

It’s raining here. Again. Not terribly cold, so ended up taking my jacket off and just getting soaked when I was walking the dog, otherwise I’d have imploded. Got the hospital with DD this afternoon, probably be there for hours, and we’ve already decided JL is calling us for afterwards.

Re AW. I need a new puffy coat. I fitted into one for the first time in my adult life last year, and it bloody transformed my attitude to winter. It was from uniqlo but it’s too big for me now, so it will need replaced. I’d also like a warmer ‘dressy’ coat. I bought a cheap one from new look last winter as I needed something for a christening but there is no heat in it at all.

Shoes are always the sticking point, I’d like plain black trainers, and I will no doubt spend weeks looking for flat knee length boots that will take a lift in my shorter leg, and give up in the huff about March. I’m hoping this year they will at least fasten, which has also been an issue previously.

My Ivy dress will need replaced and I’d like a pair of straight black jeans, and a couple of pairs of Boden Richmonds. I’m hoping I can just get away with wearing my cashmere loose although I’d like a couple of smart shirts for work.

neveradullmoment99 · 02/08/2018 10:49

I personally wouldn't have got into the 10 at the waist. In the leg they are a perfect fit. Loose but not too loose. Out of all my bf jeans they are my faves.

Laska5772 · 02/08/2018 10:51

Hmm, but compared to Star jeans? you have 10s in those dont you?

neveradullmoment99 · 02/08/2018 10:53

No, I have the 12's. They are looser than the star jeans. I think they will be fine.

Laska5772 · 02/08/2018 10:54

Coolio.. Mine are 12 also and loose .. these should be ok then..

neveradullmoment99 · 02/08/2018 10:55

They are rigid but not as rigid as the star jeans. The star jeans in a 12 are ok on me but not loose like the dark bf jeans.

Laska5772 · 02/08/2018 10:55

We should get our other jeans today also ..

neveradullmoment99 · 02/08/2018 10:58

It depends upon your shape. You are more straight up and down? They may even be too loose on you. I am a pear so always take the space up on the hips and because of my mum tum that too.

neveradullmoment99 · 02/08/2018 10:59

Yes. Too embaressed to get them delivered here so they are going to my mums. Will pick up later on. Can you post yours when you get them? Quite excited. Bit worried they don't fit me in the waist though.

SoyYo · 02/08/2018 11:03

That scarf is such good value for £ that I’m prepared to enable all who haven’t bought it yet, it’s whisper thin merino wool so quite delicate and you’ll have to be careful not to snag it but it’s pashmina size, and the colour!

laska prettyplease? Do tell Grin

Alittleshaderequired · 02/08/2018 11:03

Just coming in to say if anyone else was hoping for the Alanis dress in black, my size 10 that I returned earlier this week is now showing in stock today. Smile I imagine it will be gone again pretty sharpish so thought I’d mention it in here just in case. It’s big though; don’t order if you’re an actual size 10. I’m a 12 and the 10 fitted everywhere other than across my huge norks.

neveradullmoment99 · 02/08/2018 11:05

Laska, did you ever try the lucy shirt?

SoyYo · 02/08/2018 11:09

laska now I see your answer. Hope they flatter you, I tried them but bf style does nothing for my shape unfortunately. Keep us posted.
I have high hopes for the star jeans that should be arriving today and are so bargainous, will compare later.

SoyYo · 02/08/2018 11:17

cherries I have a tip for you on work shirts. I said upthread it’s the only thing I’ve kept from Boden the last few seasons. (But maybe I’ll be proved wrong with swimwear on its way too)
Their silk shirts are good value at sale price, not the cheapest but wash and iron well. I own around 4 from previous seasons and I do wear them a lot when I travel with work, I like they’re unstructured and flowy so you can tuck in or leave loose.
I go for a 14 and they’re very roomy so that size should be fine for you too, because the fabric is flowy they don’t add bulk.
Sorry about yet another enabling post but at full price I don’t think they’re worth the £ but at sale price deffo recommend:
m.boden.co.uk/en-gb/clearance/womens-tops-t-shirts/long-sleeved-tops/wa786/womens-the-silk-shirt

I ordered the pale pink and lipstick pink and ended up keeping the lipstick pink. The pale pink was also lovely but washed me out and the only reason I returned. I rather like the print one too and if reduced further would be tempted to try.

Laska5772 · 02/08/2018 11:24

Never I sent the Lucy shirt back .. It was nice fabric , but It was a very bright blue and the paisley print kept reminding of pyjamas !

Far too expensive also, I thought . (but I'd try it again at £30 perhaps).

I had the 12 , which fitted fine but somehow I thought it would look better if bigger.. if there was a next time I'd go for 14 .

I saw the Kaia dress in that fabric in JL on Monday , nice shape but again ..I wasn't sure about the brightness/ pattern

Nearlyadoctor · 02/08/2018 11:24

I bought the cut out t shirt earlier in the season and have had loads of compliments on it.

SoyYo · 02/08/2018 11:30

That’s good to know nearly it’s a pretty T that should work in theory but like everything it depends on shape, are you XS/S?
