What bag/jewellery with this dress?

I was thinking maybe a white clutch bag with silver detail and silver jewellery but I'm not sure if delicate jewellery would be better than statement jewellery? And would I be best just sticking with a silver bag? It's for a wedding in Spain. Thank you.

Bright blue. Looks fab with chartreuse. Or white if you’re not feeling that brave but not silver. Silver won’t clash but I think that colour can carry off a bold primary.

Dress is lovely btw

Happyland8 · 20/07/2018 07:12

Am I okay sticking with the silver shoes though? And would you say to still wear silver jewellery?

If you want to stick with the shoes I’d say go for bold handbag and bold earrings.

JeezYouLoon · 20/07/2018 07:21

No idea but I love the dress, it looks lovely any chance you could share where it's from?

I'd go for turquoise accessories if you like bold colours!

Coffeist · 20/07/2018 13:22

And lovely dress btw!

I dislike silver shoes- i think they're either for teenagers or old people.

This dress would look amazing with a pair of hasbeens in red or orange. It 'rocks' the style up a bit as it is such a delicate looking dress.

Bagwise, I love a quirky bag so I'd be tempted to go with a nice woven straw one

jewellery wise- I'd be tempted to go for a very delicate rose gold short necklace, maybe a dainty bracelet in the same colour to tie in.

Happyland8 · 22/07/2018 15:07

I'm having a bit of a drama. The wedding im wearing this to is in Spain and my SIL said these shoes will be hard to walk in on the grass at the venue and I'd be better with a wedge. I'm struggling to find a wedge though. Would this look bad?

I have a personal hatred of white shoes- they look grubby so quickly. (And are a bit old ladyish)

Can you get a neutral or coloured pair and get a thick heavy heel (on trend).

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 22/07/2018 15:29

You could try a block heel if you don’t like wedges. Don’t be horrified at this but Primark have some nude patent block heel sandals for £10 which I find perfect for holiday evening wear.

Arriettyborrower · 22/07/2018 15:32

I got some orange straps wedges in H&M sale this week - would look great with this dress. You need bold colours with it. Definitely not silver, shoes or jewellery.

Your arms and shoulders look great!

Happyland8 · 22/07/2018 15:48

What about these?

I know you're all saying bold colours but I'm a red head and find too many bold colours along with my hair is not a good look for me. This dress is the boldest thing I've worn in a long time.

I really like the wedges but I also think your original choice is really nice. They will be fine on grass honestly.

I don't think you need a bold colour to go with a bold colour.

You look really really good. I don't think you have anything to worry about. Asking a hugely wide range of people for their opinions will just confuse you I think. Unless something was obviously bad about the outfit.

For example, I think Hasbeens are hideous and like silver but Troll thinks the total opposite. Ageism aside.

EnidButton · 22/07/2018 16:39

Are you the dotty dress poster too? That looked bloody amazing as well. You know you look fantastic right? Just checking in case you're having a confidence wobble, because there's no need if you are.

TodoDoingDone · 22/07/2018 18:28

Funny you say that Enid, I thought the same. And that both dresses looked better on the op than the asos model!

I can't see the heel of the first pair properly, but it looks very similar to the last couple. Is it?

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 22/07/2018 18:55

I think all of your choices look good. Personally I’d go for a heel rather than a wedge. I’m in Spain a lot, white is a popular choice for accessories so you’ll be fine with any of the options you’ve posted.
