Hmm those beige trousers are not disimilar to a pair I already have but haven't worn for ages. Think I will wait til the dress comes and see if they go with them; may give them a new lease of life!

Sorry, only just managed to get back to this one! Lissie's link is to what I had in mind. I dressed up a shirt dress thingy for a wedding with linen trousers in the style of the black ones but the colour of the beige ones, IYSWIM.

The dress came.. but I'm a bit disappointed with it - I had thought it was in a sort of shiny fabric and it's just a cotton tshirt material. It does look ok with some brown trousers I've got; fits ok and is quite flattering as long as I suck my stomach in (!) (at all times!! As you do ) but now now sure it's dressy enough for the party a la Ellbell... (even tho she's assuring me it's not going to be a dressy occasion...!!)

Did you people who kindly offered your thoughts KNOW it would be a t-shirt type material when you advised me to get it? If so, then perhaps it will be alright..

I think it sounds fine, I thought it looked shiny too, and that was my one reservation! So good news in my opinion!!

I think if you have your hair all nice and nice party shoes, jewellery and makeup you'll be grand.
