Ponds Cold Cream??!

Just come off the phone with my Nana, and we got talking about an event I went to this weekend. She said she I looked lovely, and I told her how good makeup can hide a host of sins. Then went on whinging about how I’ve had horrible skin lately and she recommended Ponds Cold Cream, “if it’s good enough for Marilyn Monroe, then it’s good enough for you!” she says Grin
So how does everyone rate it?
I’ve got combination skin, suffer with dry patches on my forehead around my brow, horrible open pores on my nose, hyperpigmentation from a 12 year struggle with acne. Luckily that’s getting less of a problem now, and I only get the odd breakout nowadays, but the scarring and pigmentation is there from old breakouts. I tend to scar very easily - the slightest scratch on my arm or leg leaves a mark for ages, so you can imagine the marks I have left from a couple of monster spots Sad
I’ve just ordered a pot of it from Boots online. It’s under £5 so not a huge problem if it’s no good, but from googling and what my Nana has said, it seems it some kind of holy grail product?!!

I'm quite old :-) and find Oil of Olay Beauty fluid one of the best (used to be called Oil of Ulay but still the same stuff). It's been going for ages. I've tried other moisturisers but keep returning back to it. It's quite light, cool and feels as if it tightens your skin. It smells lovely too.

Ponds Cold Cream shouldn't be used as a moisturiser though. Use as a cleanser, massage thoroughly and remove with flannel and hot water. Then cold water splash. Skin like velvet.

I alternate CC with soap and water. My skin has never been better and I realise now that I've wasted a small fortune on high-end products over the years.

I hate it as a moisturiser, really heavy and clogs even my dry as the sahara skin.

That said Ponds Rejeuveness facial cream is absolutely outstanding, very cheap and far and away better than any moisturiser I've ever tried before, including some eye wateringly expensive ones.
It makes my skin so radiant, both instantly and made a huge difference after a week too.

I’ve got and it literally melted my make up off and I wiped it a way with a warm, wet flannel.
The used La Roche Possay, Effaclar Duo afterwards.
Woke up this morning to baby soft skin, though it did feel a little greasy on my forehead.

Shock

Despite the numerous cleansers in the bathroom, I do have to go shopping later on and I know Tesco have the CC in stock ....
