I wash and moisturise my face morning and night. I shower/bath and then moisturise all over daily. I apply a face mask when I'm having a particularly bad skin day.

Other than that I don't do anything else.

Oh, most days I wear makeup. I'm not sure if that is included!

I think I'm going to have a weekly intense pamper... a long soak with bubbles.. Shave. Tidy eyebrows rather than waiting until they are creeping towards my eyelids! Scrub and moisturise my feet (this is a biggie as I usually neglect my feet!). Can you think of anything else to include?

I shamelessly bite my fingernails Blush I do prefer shorter nails tbh but I would like them be groomed and finally this habit if at all possible. Do you think gels would be a good idea to get started?

Please share your daily/weekly/monthly beauty rituals. Be it what you slap on your face to what you eat and drink to nourish from the inside out! Thank you

And lastly can anyone recommend a good spf face cream? My skin is quite sensitive.

I use Clinique Superdefense spf 20 face cream for oily skin, but you can get one for drier skin too, it's really good.

IknowIWBUbut · 29/06/2018 11:20

Thanks tierraJ I'll check it out.

My best tip. At least once a week I use raw egg on my hair. This makes it look and feel stronger. Don’t worry it’s not as bad as it sounds, just use a small amount of shampoo after rising the egg off.

Other than that my daily routine is simple, jump in a nice bath, relax for as long as possible (sometimes not at all), shampoo hair, rinse, body wash, shave (if required), towel dry self, body moisturise, blow dry. Nice and straightforward.

BusterGonad · 29/06/2018 18:39

I use one of these, apparently it's a cuticle trimmer but also use it down the side of my fingers to get rid of the hard skin or the dry peeling skin. It really helps to keep then neat and tidy.

BusterGonad · 29/06/2018 18:39

Sorry forgot the picture!

haverhill · 29/06/2018 18:42

I’ve just started using the Frezyderm sunscreen after seeing it recommended on here, it’s fabulous.
I co-wash 2 out of 3 washes and my hair is soft and shiny.
Blue pot Nivea really is good stuff in the winter.

OccasionalNachos · 29/06/2018 18:46

Nip & Fab dragons blood serum every morning, before moisturiser.

Once a week deep condition with Philip Kingsley Elasticizer. I have long thick hair & even with co-washing as much as I can, my hair is super dry & needs a treat.

Aldi Midnight Power cream for my night moisturiser

ShotsFired · 29/06/2018 19:10

I have very dry and quite sensitive skin. When I get home from work and take my make up off, and then again before bed, I rub in cocoa butter. You need to massage it in well which has its own benefit to the moisturising of it, and it helped clear up years-long facial eczema.

If my face has been windburned or is just feeling sore, I switch t using almond oil as a makeup remover too.

sulee · 29/06/2018 20:09

Where do you get the cuticle thingy from Buster? I need one!

BusterGonad · 29/06/2018 20:15

I bought it in a cheapy make up shop, I'd imagine the pound shop might sell them or Amazon/eBay. It's called a Cuticle trimmer. Literally cost about £2.

BusterGonad · 29/06/2018 20:18

This is mine (but mine is pink) literally life changing. eBay.

I use oil instead of moisturiser usually, especially if staying in and drinking. Take my makeup off, a good cleanse, massage in oil, a good facial massage, and leave it. Fabulous.

rightknockered · 29/06/2018 20:21

It's so good, I've stopped buying and using serum.

Destinysdaughter · 29/06/2018 20:23

I recently bought a jar of Argan oil with black soap in Morocco, it makes my skin so soft! It has the double effect of both exfoliating and moisturising my skin. Love it! I think you can probably buy it on Amazon. I also use real Argan oil on my hair as an overnight treatment and it's made my dry brittle hair much softer and shinier 😀

LapsedHumanist · 29/06/2018 21:30

I love a face mask.

Confusssed · 29/06/2018 21:31

I double cleanse with a hot cloth cleanser every night + serum + eye cream + moisturiser. In the mornings I hot cloth cleanse again + serum + Biore Watery Essence spf 50.

Shower every morning, always. When it's hot I often shower again in the evening to freshen up. I rarely leave the house without clean, styled hair + light make up.

Saturday mornings I have my little ritual where I apply a hair masque + face masque. I tidy my eyebrows and shave under my arms (get legs and bikini waxed).

In the summer most evenings I wash my feet and rub in foot team (have regular pedicures too, so feet are always sandal ready). I also keep my cuticles and nails groomed with a cuticle trimmer + nail oil.

I always wear good perfume.

TeaAddict235 · 29/06/2018 21:45

I use a cream cleanser. I apply it with cotton wool and then take it off again with cotton wool. About once a week I use African black soap.

The cream cleanser keeps my face hydrated and moisturised at the same time.

The African black soap exfoliates.

Littlelambpeep · 29/06/2018 21:56

I get gel nail extensions every three weeks or so and I love them op. I get short ones as i prefer them

Making notes... what's co-washing??

IknowIWBUbut · 29/06/2018 22:28

Thanks for sharing! Keep em coming!

Destinysdaughter I could do with that right now!

rightknockered interesting.. which oils do you use and what is your skin type?

Confusssed loving your rituals! You're my new beauty idol Wink do you mind sharing what hot cloth cleanser, serum and eye cream you use?

TeaAddict235 both of those products sound lovely! What brand is the cream cleanser?

Thanks Littlelambpeep I didn't realise you could get gel extensions? I thought they just covered the length of your nail?

I have my eyebrows tattooed with micropigmentation
Botox
Zoom teeth whitening

(I'm not as high maintenance as I sound!!)

I never use shampoo, wash hair with conditioner, apply more, use a handful of gel and a handful of mousse and then scrunch it when it's totally dry and crispy

AnaViaSalamanca · 30/06/2018 00:06

I was not one for diets, but decided to do low carb (not full keto, but medium fat high protein low carb) to lose some body fat. As a side effect, my skin has improved a lot! My face is glowing and I keep getting comments that I look beautiful. I have kind of stopped using foundation.

Another tip is to always use a cold blast after blow drying my hair to minimize the frizz.

Confusssed · 30/06/2018 09:07

OP I use the REN Rosa Centifolia Hot Cloth Cleanser + Boots Protect & Perfect Advanced Intense Serum + Olay Pro Retinol Eye Cream. A bit of a mix and match but it's the combination that works best for me. Double cleansing at night has definitely made a difference too Smile

TeaAddict235 · 30/06/2018 11:42

@IknowIWBUbut the cream cleanser that I use is the Garnier Skin naturals honey. It's about £5. It is amazingly good.

haverhill · 01/07/2018 13:06

Co easing is washing with conditioner which sounds dreadful but is generally fab. Choose one with no silicone, massage into the scalp, add a bit of water, massage a bit more then rinse thoroughly.
