Boden dress fans? Am I just an odd shape??

Never bought a Boden actual dress before

Odd kaftan style or holiday cover up

Just received 3 different styles of what appear to be classic simple shirt style dresses

On each one the waist belt loops are around two inches too high.

This is me isn't it?? I need stretching up, I must have a compressed torso??

This is my problem too... I basically have a long torso so always need to buy tall size with dresses. Waistline falls underneath my boobs otherwise. If you have big boobs, this may cause issue too for certain dress styles, I can imagine shirt dresses have this problem, in this case I would try to size up.

I have a few Boden dresses but I'd say the waist on them sits slightly lower than my waist!

I'm 5'7" and a size 12. Boden dresses fit me really well but I think I have a long torso and stubby legs!

I'm 5'9" and have long legs and a long body, I've NEVER found a boden dress that doesn't have a ridiculously short body.

Same problem here with the shorter dresses .They look totally ridiculous on me .I'm 5'10 size 12-14.

I have long legs but an average length body. There are definitely some styles of Boden dress with oddly high waists! It’s not all of them, though.

Not you - I’m a fairly standard size (if anything quite high waisted) and Boden dresses are always too high on the waist for me. I’ve given up now (just placed an order for loads of kids stuff as the sale on swimwear is brilliant just now, but didn’t even look at the dresses as I’ve had to send so many back).

Not just you no. Boden dresses virtually always have a waist on my ribs. Whether that matters depends on what shape the rest of the dress is. If it sticks out from the ‘waist’ I can’t buy it as I’ll look pregnant.

Yes! At 5'3, I would normally buy petite, but have to get regular with Boden or the waist looks really silly on me!

I'm 5'4 and the waist on most HS dresses is on my ribs, the shoulders are too wide and the breast is either v loose or v tight. I'm not even an unusual shape!

Could you not just move the belt loops down, if it’s a shirt dress style, or is the cut wrong too?

I can only buy the long sizes as I have this problem, but they are the only place I can buy dresses to fit.

I'm 5'6 too and also find Boden dresses high waisted.

The one I tried, you couldn’t just move the belt loops - they’d be sitting on the skirt rather than the bodice of the dress. And on the other one I tried there were no belt loops but it was the same, the bodice itself was too short. It’s very annoying.

The models used are very slim and the dresses with be bulldog clipped into place for the photo shoots. That’s what I tell myself anyway.

Definitely not! The waist is always slightly too low on me. How come I have a freakishly high waist?!

Same here. I' m 5'8" and the waist is always round my ribcage. I'd driven up with them, then succumbed last week to a green shirt dress, but it's as high waisted as ever, and far too big, even though my measurements are true to the size I ordered.

I know what you mean about not wanting to mess about with them. But it sounds like the problem is definitely with the dresses, not you!
