When reading the threads on how to look polished and expensive I'm always slightly in awe of the people who manage to pull the look off/give sage advice, because -even though it's a great look - I'll never be one of either of them. That doesn't mean I look scruffy, just that I've got a different kind of style.
Think smart casual for work, a fair few piercings and visible tatoo, hair always dyed in an unnatural colour (my mum used to describe my look as "juvenile asbo candidate", but even she had to admit the other day that she might have been a tad wrong on that one
) .
So would anyone care for a thread for the un-polished, but nevertheless stylish? My hair is currently a deep green, I found the perfect colour coulottes to go with that. Or a smart black dress with a bright orange cardi. I'd love to hear how other people incorporate their own idea of aesthetics into their workwear!
