Epilating one's armpits

Why the fuckety fuck did I think this would be a good idea?!?!?

Now I have done one armpit, and am trying to persuade myself to even things out by doing the other but it really hurts.

Such a prat.

Bikini line! You’re all mad women! I clearly have leather armpits as I can epilate them with no problem at all, but i’ve only been near my foof once. I cried. I cried actual salt tears of pain. I then bought a swimsuit with shorts.

LostInShoebiz · 24/06/2018 08:20

I did my whole bikini area after an accident when no one would wax me. Caught my labia in the roller tweezer things...Confused

after an accident when no one would wax me.

Sorry. you're going to need to explain this one!

Ifyoubuildit · 24/06/2018 11:48

Crying at catching labia (sorry!).

I do my armpits and I've definitely got used to it now. First time after a winter of hairy pits was awful but it gets easier with each go.

I struggle as my skin sometimes gets pinched into the contraption. Why is this?!!

formerbabe · 24/06/2018 12:46

So I tried doing my armpits today. The pain wasn't too bad during it...was what I expected. My armpits are so sore now though.... really stinging and i did it an hour ago Sad

LostInShoebiz · 24/06/2018 15:49

I think it’s pretty self explanatory Gorgon but here you go...

I was involved in a hit and run in which I was left with life changing injuries and DH1 was killed. As a result of my injuries no salons were prepared to wax me for fear of knocking into my legs and exacerbating the injuries.

So pretty simple, I was in an accident then no one would wax me.

GorgonLondon · 24/06/2018 16:37

God lost I'm so sorry, I had no intention of making light of it.

LostInShoebiz · 24/06/2018 17:22

No problem, having now read my first comment back it sound like I had an accident of the pee variety!

Ifyoubuildit · 24/06/2018 18:42

Oh Lost, I'm so sorry to hear that.

ladywoowoo · 24/06/2018 19:02

I have an epilator. I loved it at first but in the end I went back to shaving as I kept getting ugly marks from ingrown hair scabs Confused

formerbabe · 24/06/2018 19:16

LostInShoebiz sorry to hear about what happened to you.

Feel awful complaining now....but wish I'd never epilated my armpits now. I'm in agony...can't wear a top as material on the skin is agony. My pits are red raw...feels like a million paper cuts with vinegar being poured over them. God knows what I did wrong?! Ouch. Think ill stick to using a razor.

Her0utdoors · 24/06/2018 19:23

I've done mine for about 15 years, barely any hair grows in them now, it's a fairly painless 2 minute job, when I can be bothered.

LostInShoebiz · 24/06/2018 19:27

I agree Her, so worth it when you have only a couple of little whispy ones and you can whip them off in a flash. Keep going, all that pain is long term results building up.

Her0utdoors · 24/06/2018 19:35

I just wish my knees had got the memo, they are luxurianly hairt to say the least!
