tanning moisturiser bullshit

I wanted to wear a skirt this weekend

So I wapped on some dove summer glow yesterday. I pranced around semi naked for aaaages so it would definitely be dry before any clothes went near it etc and today my legs just look like they have mucky blotches

What am I missing? Did I not work it in enough/too much? Do I have the wrong skin? Is it worth putting more on and hoping the non mucky looking patches soak some in this time or is it just going to darken the mucky patches. Shall I just resign myself to wearing jeans instead?

Boots stock Vita Liberata if anyone has points to spend.

Vita Liberata is soooo expensive.

I've given up. I'm now using wash off tan instead.

Gam I've got white legs, beige arms (with freckles) a beige white red freckled face and a super white body! 🤣 all I dream of is a body that sort of matches!!!!

Well, it's on. Applied a couple of hours ago, with latex gloves. Has sunk in pretty well, feel like it went on nicely but still not quite dry. Have now risked some loose long socks as my feet were cold.
Read a load of reviews on amazon that were pretty positive, seems to vary massively whether people notice a difference in the first application but I usually do with these things. Will need to shave again soon though as legs get stubby quickly. I'm wondering how you build it up if you need to exfoliate beforehand each time...

What brand did you get Gam?

@Gammeldragz a light exfoliation won't remove the tan, just don't scrub too hard!

Exfoliation also helps the tan fade evenly, otherwise you end up looking like tiger bread...
