These ones in particular. Today was the first day I wore them in public, they're normally confined to the house...sometimes the garden. I was inspired to brave it after seeing 2 different women in my area wearing them at the weekend.
Prior 2 that I'd seen 2 different women near where I live in them.
And then today another woman walked past me wearing them Grin .
Just curious if you have them? Or if my small part of a northern city has bought them all.

Lucy & Yaks are bloody brilliant. I love and live in mine.

Moonkissedlegs · 21/06/2018 17:44

I'm going to have to get me some of those ebay ones. They are a fiver for gods sakes!

When people say the material is crap, what exactly do they mean? What sort of material is it?

Nyancat · 21/06/2018 21:47

Like a very thin cotton, no stretch in them.
They'd be fab in a heavier weight fabric or a jersey.

IwankaTramp · 22/06/2018 17:56

THe Verdict- good material but sizing is way off. I bought the 3xl so it would look like model in terms of slouch but these are small around the hips and baggy from the waist up. I am a size 14. I gave them to my daughter who is a size 10-12 and they look good on her.

I may try the 5xl as someone let a review saying that they are a 16 and they are slouchy at this size.

How do the Lucy and Yak ones size?

IwankaTramp · 22/06/2018 17:57

These ones were cotton with no stretch but not see-through in black.

Numberonecook · 22/06/2018 18:51

I love the look of these but as a slightly overweight, tall, pear shape I'm guessing they would make me look like I'm wearing a tent :( not the look I'm going for.

IwankaTramp · 23/06/2018 13:43

I think as long as they are oversized and the legs baggy enough they could look good on anyone. I think the tight leg ones lend to an egg silouette on even the skinniest of folk.

I have just ordered some dungarees thanks to this thread. Still a bit worried I’m too old for them but I love the style!

NClikecrazy · 24/06/2018 12:59

I'd love to see some pics when they arrive.

hendricksy · 26/06/2018 12:53

I got mine and love them , I'm short and curvy and look horrid in most things . These are pretty flattering and certainly comfy.
I'll try and be brave and take a pic tomorrow .

IwankaTramp · 26/06/2018 13:28

Update- I got two different pairs. The first is in the pic OP posted that I gave to my daughter. I tried them in 5 xl in burgundy and they are perfect! Cool material, nice and slouchy and ankle length on me- I am 5.3 tall./size 14 with a stomach. Not sheer material but not stretchy.

The other pair I tried are the wide leg ones in navy. I bought a massive 3xl (different sizing to the ones before) and they are super baggy and cool. Wearing them now. They have a Toast like look to them and are ankle length on me. These have three buttons for adjustments on the strap. Will get a pic for those interested.

Can someone post a real pic of how they look on you? I keep ordering clothes from Amazon and sending them back!

boldlygoingsomewhere · 27/06/2018 13:01

My Lucy and Yak ones arrived. Really like them but a bit too hot for this weather!

IwankaTramp · 27/06/2018 19:34

What is the sizing like boldly ?

What style did you go for?

boldlygoingsomewhere · 27/06/2018 20:35

I went for the Originals in Medium. I was on the cusp for Small with my hips but am apple-shaped so need to accommodate a relatively larger midriff! It’s nicely loose and surprisingly flattering.

bingohandjob · 27/06/2018 20:57

Glad you like them, boldly. I'm so happy with mine and get compliments every time I wear them. They are really good quality. But too bloody hot right now!

hugoagogo · 27/06/2018 21:02

I had these in 1983 ( very bananarama!) great for the school disco.

Still tempted.Grin

CremeDeSudo · 28/06/2018 08:43

Right I've ordered some. I have high hopes! Can't resist an S&B recommendation. Baa.

Numerodos · 30/06/2018 21:42

I got a pair of these off ebay. I really like the style and fit but even though the listing says cotton I'm fairly sure they're polyester or a blend. Has anyone got this style but in a nice fabric? rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F292563406220
