My Cousin is getting married next summer. It's the first big family wedding in ages and after having 2 kids and finally losing weight want to get a nice outfit.
I know it's ages away but going to keep eyes open incase see some thing.
I have a lovely cherry amber bead necklace, not long but not choker length that was my grannys and I would really like to wear it, however unsure what colour of outfit to get.
It's very distinctine and don't want something that'll clash.
Any ideas?
It's quite a dark red.

don't have natural red hair but dye it dark red so green might work.
I'll be there for the whole day and if she get's her way will be big, if my uncle gets way will be small and informal
Thanks. Like idea of contrast.

Can you do us a pic? It's jewellery porn for us beading types you know! Oh and of course it will help the style gurus find the perfect outfit!

A floaty black dress, deep red shoes and bag would look amazing IMO.

I don't think there is any issue wearing black to a wedding if you accesorise well.

What shape and size are you, Babyramone? Which bits of yourself do you like and which would you like to hide? And what sort of budget do you have?

fishie · 23/05/2007 20:22

grey would be better than black. a nice dark slate colour.

Hi can't do links so this may not work, but they are very similar to these except shorter about 18-20 inches with clasp. Beads are identical though same shape, colour and cut.

I'm a size 16-18 (post baby) but losing and shape wise I have thick waist but a good sized bust. Like my clevage best.

Budget £200 max.

babyramone is the wedding NEXT summer (2008) when you will undoubtedly be a size 10 or seomthing or THIS summer next month? empire line dress could be nice for you, are you apple or pear shaped?

your necklace sounds beautiful i am dead jealous.

Babyramone · 24/05/2007 16:30

Wedding next june. Need all this time to buy as am rubbish shopper, also am jeans/combats/converse type of slob

I am probably more apple than pear even when slim have little waist and hip definition. Have bit of a jlo booty though.
Think going by what I was in past I'll be about a 12-14.

I used to play with necklace as kid and was so pleased to get it.
It's gone from my great granny to my granny to my mum and now me so is very sentimental.
Will pass to my DD when she's older too.

Wear bright blue - turquoise colour

Blue and Red jewellery are HUUUUUGGGE at the moment so therefore will contrast nicely.
