help me break out from one of the ubiquitous uniforms.

help especially needed as i was at a kids party today and 4 or so of us wearing a variation of the same even down to tan ballet flats! i felt a bit sheepish.

feel very unoriginal even though styles of blouses can vary hugely etc.

its so easy to have 7 casual blouses virtually the same and the woven cotton is so good at not clinging to chubby love handles.

i have been thinking about wearing trainers but feel that i might be too un- hip now.

how can i funk myself up a little - help!!

im a solid size 14 mountain of a woman at 5 ft 8 and i dont want to try try anything too trend led but feel like i'm stuck in rut.

everything in my wardrobe is blue, navy and tan leather!

Try one thing at a time perhaps.
So today I am also wearing jeans, with a delicate white top, navy ballet pumps and a suede baby blue jacket.

If it's just your accessories that's easy to change. Try black jeans perhaps. Trousers rather than jeans.

Probably not that helpful.

i think i will try black jeans and maybe have a stock of white blouses! Grin

the party was actually yesterday -its been a very long day!

@flutteryleaves where do you buy your woven cotton blouses? I've been looking for ages!

MrsMaryMooFace · 17/06/2018 17:26

I don't wear ballet pumps any more - Converse, Gazelles or heels now. Heeled ankle boots in winter. And I'm a solid size 16 on a 5ft7 frame Smile

i buy them from warehouse, french connection and asos have so many but they have quite revealing ones so i have to pick carefully!

ive also grabbed more basic, standard easy to wear ones at new look and sainsburys
