Furry slides - wtf?

Just that really. Although I veer towards a more classic look, I like to keep an eye on fashion trends. But furry slides - WHY??? I just don't get it.

I thought your post was about personal grooming based on the title.

I've seen those shoes though. I thought they were slippers but then again, people here still wear pjs and dressing gowns to Tescos.

A lady was wearing them with a very smart suit today. I don't understand.

ScoobyGangMember · 15/06/2018 22:48

Never heard of 'em, never seen 'em.

BlondeSea · 15/06/2018 23:00

I think it's just a fun young trend. I wouldn't wear them now but probably would have had a pair when I was 22.

GertyTheGert · 15/06/2018 23:17

FlyMaybe I just laughed and laughed and laughed at your ACE storage unit for the Fluff Sliders - you are very witty! Are you Jo Brand?!!!! Or that fab Aisling Bea, the comic with the stunning dk brown hair?!!!! Frasier you are so right - I think designers see how far they can go, YET we used to sometimes think Vivienne Westwood had odd fashion ideas in the 80s - how wrong can a dress be, held together with safety pins compared to stupid cheapo plastic flippyflops with a mound of lurid "fur" across the toes?? !!! Bin-liner with belt? Yep, compared to furry sliders!!!!!

I bought a yellow pair to be slippers that I could also wear out into the garden. I loved them. They were so funny when I looked down at my feet. They reminded me of the yolk yellow dress with a huge fur trimmed train Rihanna wore to the Met Ball.

MissMogwai · 16/06/2018 09:21

Both of my teen daughters and their friends love these fluffy monstrosities. They look like horrible slippers to me, but what do I know.

LunaTheCat · 16/06/2018 14:21

ginger those are awful - looks like 2 cats have clung to her feet!

FlyMaybe · 16/06/2018 23:30

It's all a bit 'Emperor's New Clothes' isn't it?

A woman in her late fifties at Work wears these. She also wears vest tops and trousers that look like pyjamas Grin

hairypaws · 17/06/2018 00:02

I always thought they were slippers but the wearer didn't realise they were slippers. Are they not then?

myusernameisnotmyusername · 17/06/2018 00:05

No. My colleague knows we think they look like slippers too!

cricketmum84 · 17/06/2018 00:07

Oh god they are awful!! I genuinely thought someone had gone out in their slippers the first time I saw them. My husband had to explain that they were "fashion"

userxx · 17/06/2018 00:12

What are furry sides? I thought it was sideburns. Please enlighten me.

LilMadAgain · 17/06/2018 00:19

ginger they're absolutely beautiful! Would look out of place worn with my bleach stained lounge bottoms though Hmm

userxx · 17/06/2018 20:57

Myusername Thanks for that..... Hmmmmmmm really not sure!

myusernameisnotmyusername · 17/06/2018 22:28

Ha ha. Like I mentioned my colleague wears them in the office and they look ridiculous. But each to their own...

FishFingerInjury · 17/06/2018 23:13

They are utterly rank.

myusernameisnotmyusername · 19/06/2018 19:35

I love your username @FishFingerInjury
