Clear bra straps?? yes or no???

I have bought a gorgeous basque (courtesy of flame) any way I Feel "safer" in it with a bra on. I have a strapless one that has clear straps (which are detachable) which feels ok, but I feel better with the straps on but i'm worried it will look naff.

Personally, I think they look naff. Its not as if you can't see them....if you are close enough anyway. Just my personal opinion though! I'm no fashion queen believe me!

don't use the straps. it will look silly esp if any lights shine on you.

They only don't look silly if you're wearing them with a vest top.

ggirl have huge norks and just feel better supported and lifted with a bra on.

Clear straps are not ideal really... although you can just about get away with them under a spagetti strap dress.

A totally strapless basque would require a totally strapless bra I believe.

Being of DD sized norkage myself, I do understand about the 'safe' feeling of bra straps though.

right so they are a big no-no as I thought. They always look naff when I see people wearing them ands really plastic.

take the basque to M&S and get an assistant to find you a strapless to go with it

the clear ones dig into shoulders and make people look fat

I thought you were talking about a basque/bra thing with the bra part of the basque.Sorry-yes you need a strapless bra,although they are not easy to fit on large norks.
M&S crap for big norks ime (fcup),john lewis is better.

Get thee to a Bravissimo shop.... they fitted me up with a lovely trusty strapless bra.

No. Only for teenagers I'm afraid - and it still looks naff but thats okay because teenagers are naff.

If it really comes to it buy a really flamboyant bra and wear it underneath.
I do this with a turquoise one and it looks great. Better to draw attention to it, rather than try to hide it.

will just stickwith the strapless and put the clear straps in the bin, they arent very comfy anyway.

I've tried the clear straps and don't find them very comfy, these days I tend to go with TheDevilWearsPrimark's advice and buy a bra with funky straps, however this wouldn't work with a sleeveless dress, you need to have some sort of strap thing going on to get away with this.
