Lidl Sanitas IPL laser hair remover: Is it any good?

I have been interested in laser hair removal and have just spotted this one on the Lidl offers coming soon. Has anyone used it and, if so, is it any good? I have light skin and dark hair so am a good candidate, but would invest in the Lumea if this one isn't great. I'm struggling to find reviews via Google.

I've spotted it in Lidl a few times before so someone must have used it.

I had the Philips Lumea ana thought it was ace but have no idea how this compares - that said, I just went on eBay to check them out and there are loads for sale brand new for cheaper than Lidl. So, not sure if any good, but you might be worth looking on there if you do decide to go for it :)

Thanks @exhaustedpigeon12. I will have a look. My worry with the really cheap 'branded' models on eBay is that they may be counterfeit and therefore possibly not as safe as the real Lumea. If I'm going to be blasting my pale skin with a laser I'd rather be safe than sorry.

I bought in a couple of weeks ago and have used it on my upper lip and bikini line. I have the ideal skin /hair colour for it so hoping for success. It’s been 12 days since I used it and my upper lip is still completely hair free. My bikini line is stubbly and as I have been waxing for years I found this a bit uncomfortable but I will persevere. I hated having to shave my top lip though before using it, why it felt so wrong when I have been waxing/bleaching etc for years I don’t know?

@FlippingBottleFlippers Thank you. When you say uncomfortable, you mean the stinging sensation the laser on that piece of skin?

Sorry, the feeling of the stubble growing back in was uncomfortable as I have been waxing for years. Using the device even on the highest setting feels hot but not sore.

How much is it going for?

What is the ideal skin/hair? Is it pale skin and dark hair only? Like white, pale, or could a hairy mixed race white/mexican like me get away with it?! Since DC3 I literally have no time to get waxed anymore so have starting shaving my legs and can't stand the stubble. So if this works...FWIW i am a lot paler in the winter.

The ideal is fair skin and dark hair. This article may be helpful. It has a section on skin tone and hair colour after the reviews.

The Lidl one will be £69.99. I think for that price I'll just try it.

I've got this! I've had it about 6 weeks and have done about 3 treatments on my legs so far. I'd say the hair has reduced around 60% at the moment (it would probably be more but think I keep consistently missing the same parts!) hopefully reduce a lot more over the next few zaps!

I want one but you have to get replacement lamps periodically and I think they would be hard to get hold of with it being a special buy. I'm just going to save up.

Hi I just bought one of these from Lidl today..
Was just wondering how are the results going? Worried about pre shaving my top lip 😂 just incase it comes back stubbly.
