What To Wear To Nursery Graduation.

It's DS's graduation next month and I was wondering what kids wear to this. Do they wear their nursery uniform?

We have my cousins wedding the day before so would still have his kilt on hire. He does look v.cute in a kilt but I can't imagine anyone else having one on.

depends on the Nursery, as them. My dd had to wear a white shirt. As I'd already bought her school uniform, I put her in that.

They loaned her a little gown and made her a mortar board out of paper.

Looked daft to me, but apparently this type of carry-on is the norm in Scotland!

ask them, I meant.

I'll ask tomorrow night. We've got parents night. I thought most nurseries did the cap and gown thing.

gosh what on earth is nursery graduation? is it just in scotland?

gscrym · 22/05/2007 08:16

I don't know what they do but I thought everywhere did them. My old childminder did a wee graduation ceremony for them when they went off to nursery. She made them mortar boards and they each got a certificate. They also had a little party.

is this for real?

fishie · 22/05/2007 08:21

it sounds very sweet, alas i don't think they do it in london.

i did originally think you were asking what to wear yourself!

gscrym · 22/05/2007 08:23

GGirl, yep it's for real. I honestly thought all nurseries did it. All the kids had a brilliant time at the CM graduation and the parents weren't there, just a wee thing to send them on their way and say goodbye I think.

i am usually violently anti-cute but this does sound very nice, i bet the children love it.

They have a ball, well not a ball as in big frocks and tuxedos but a really nice time.

My DS had a nursery graduation when he left for primary.
They made them all black gowns and caps and they looked really cute, all the mums and dads went and took pictures.
