Disappointed with botox

I had it done two weeks ago in my forehead. Pleased with the result, but my brows have dropped, so i look like i've no eyelids. It's given me a kind of angry look itms. i'm thinking she must have injected too near to the brow bone or possibly just too much botox? I hate the thought of looking like this for the next 3 months or so. Anyone else had this?

I own an aesthetics company OP (where all our treatments are doctor administered) and as secretsout said above, this is due to treating the forehead alone. The frown also needs to be treated to maintain an equilibrium between the muscles that work against each other.

Did you check the nurse's credentials? We are hearing more and more lately about aesthetics 'nurses' who when asked, cannot produce qualifications or insurance details. Please be careful where you go for any aesthetics treatment, especially Botox which is a prescription only medication.

mischief Unfortunately, no i foolishly didn't ask to see her credentials, nor did she offer. I'm very annoyed with myself. My only consolation is that hopefully it isn't permanent, the sooner i lose my "angry gorilla" look the better.

moonoflove have you had any luck getting the botox corrected,i hope you can or it defeats the object of having it done in the first place doesnt it?

moonoflove · 14/06/2018 14:47

No i haven't princess because i'm out of the country now. Yes it does defeat the object because i'd rather have a wrinkled brow than this awful look i've got now. I phoned them up and they said to pop in but i cant, i hate the way i look right now. Sad

moonoflove so sorry for you,its awful when this happens, very depressing too, i know how you feel, i had an even worse experience the last time i had botox, not sure if i mentioned it here or on another thread, but i ended up with 2 black eyes and a swollen nose for 2 weeks, had to wear dark glasses and couldnt go anywhere
The nurse injected too low down on the top of my nose, and one eye was almost shut, but still lasted for 2 months
I was given some drops by another more experiencef lady which helped a bit with drooped eyelid, but wont help with forehead droop
I hope it doesnt last too long for you

moonoflove · 15/06/2018 17:18

Thank you princess, I've now got more distress, a smallish lump has appeared on my forehead, just hoping it doesn't get bigger. Sad

The worst thing is the knowledge that even though i have a wrinkle free forehead, the whole effect is spoiled by my drooping brow/lack of eyelids. By the time the brows go back to normal, the botox will have worn off, so i'm not going to enjoy what i spent my money on. Oh well, once bitten twice shy as they say, next time i'll make sure i go to someone who can show me qualifications. Smile

Oh dear moonoflove no idea what the lump could be,you must be so upset
When you are back in the country you should go to see this woman and ask for her credentials, a bit late i know, but if she cant prove she has any she should refund you
It took a struggle for me to get my money back, had to threaten court action, but she lied about being a prescriber so she shouldnt have been administering botox at all
Where is the lump and how big is it? so distressing, and depressing for you

moonoflove · 15/06/2018 21:01

It's about an inch above the eyebrow princess, very small but noticeable. When i phoned the salon she asked for my mobile number and said the nurse would phone me but she hasn't. It's a case of the waiting game now.
