she has a pair of black trousers that would be ok,but what would be a suitable top ot alternative bottoms, she's there for two weeks.

What will she be doing, ggirl? If anything messy, will she get some kind of overall? If not, I would think a plain blouse (about £4 from Matalan IIRC) would be fine!

carol3 · 21/05/2007 22:38

hmm well I think a t-shirt would be ok as long as it wasn't low cut ect.
Also short sleeved but not sleeveless. Usually quite hot in hospital wards. mybe a short sleeved shirt?

brimfull · 21/05/2007 22:40

well she'll be trailing around after various people dr/nurse/physios etc,but don't kno if she'll be doing much.I expect she'll be given a plastic apron if she does.
Yes matalan is a great idea thanks

What's she going to be doing?

brimfull · 21/05/2007 22:42

Trousers and a t-shirt or blouse will be fine, and I'd say flat shoes as she may well be on her feet all day.

brimfull · 21/05/2007 22:43

dress code is smart-casual ,does a t-shirt fit that?

Polo shirt smart-ish, round-neck not, I'd have thought.

shonaspurtle · 21/05/2007 23:00

It will be hot, hot, hot so make sure she doesn't wear a jersey with nothing underneath (voice of experience here). A fitted t shirt would be fine with black trousers.

pickledpear · 21/05/2007 23:02

a mouth mask so she not pick up germs

brimfull · 21/05/2007 23:30

thanks will have to take her shopping in the half term, she'll have to wear her black school trousers for the two weeks unless we can find a skirt that she'd definately wear again

Oh lord, the work experience clothes thing - ours do a "management conference" at the end of Y12 and both my DDs insisted on buying a trouser suit, the jacket of which was never worn and the trousers only about twice, what a waste of money

brimfull · 21/05/2007 23:35

I know they cost a bloody fortune-what with kitting her out for her duke of edinburgh and now this, the sooner she gets a job the better!
