Pimples, wrinkles, wide pores, brown spots and oily ......... what foundation?

So, I am nearly 50 and I need a decent foundation!

I'm currently using a BB cream but I really need something that offers a bit more cover.

I still get pimples, not many but a few.
I get blackheads & have quite open pores around my nose, chin & forehead
I have olivey skin
I have some brown spots & look a bit freckly
I have quite oily skin, which probably accounts for the relative lack of wrinkles BUT means I can't go too heavy with the foundation.

I don't mind spending a bit of money. Help me!!!!!!!!

Watching - for a friend of course!

I have oily skin and really like the Lancome Teint Idole. Excellent coverage but feels lightweight and looks natural. Really good shade range. Doesn't sit in pores. They are really helpful with colour matching and giving quite generous samples as well if you go to a counter.

I have oily skin and have spent years and £100s trying to find something that lasts and controls shine and Estee Lauder Double Wear is my holy grail.

It took a few tries to get the right shade but they do free 10 day trial samples so you can apply yourself and check you're happy with the colour. I was matched in store to a pink colour when I would consider myself more yellow toned, but I've ended up with a neutral toned shade and it's perfect.

Try the itcosmetics cc cream.

ELDW is fab but I've found it makes my already big pores look like craters and is absolutely not flattering at all, so OP if you have open pores it may not be great. Look at getting a sample though try for yourself :)

thank you, some good recommendations coming through. I feel a Saturday morning in my local department store coming on.

After trying loads, expensive and cheap, the only one I'll use now is this one My skin is pretty similar to yours. This stays on all day, covers well but isn't chalky or mask like, doesn't sit in the wrinkles, and it's oil free. Before finding this I was buying new foundations often, looking for 'the one' but I haven't been tempted to try anything else for months now. It comes in a good range of yellow/olive tones, but ignore the colours on the link. They're nothing like that in real life.

The ordinary serum foundation is lovely and lightweight.

Their coverage one is a bit heavier and I've found sits in pores etc.

Have to say, I'm currently loving my Maybelline cushion compact. I'm far more impressed with it than I thought I would be. Doesn't sit in lines etc, and really minimises pores round my nose. Nice soft dewy finish.

I also use EL DW.

I put Benefit porefessional underneath it and that polyfillas in all the pores on my nose.

It's fabulous stuff. The coverage on DW is amazing and it really stays on all day.

I have to say, I find a primer indispensable these days. It fills in the pores and skin looks smoother.
I use the Lancome Teint idole and their primer also.
