What jacket would you wear with this dress to a polo match?!

Hello!

I have bought this dress to wear to the Cartier Queen's Cup polo match at Guards in 10 days' time, along with a pair of pretty fabulous gold wedges (both pictured for reference!)

I really hope the sun shines, but I think I need a jacket of some description in case the weather's not amazing...

What sort of jacket would you wear with this dress?? I'm fairly busty (5 ft 8, size 12/14 with size 32G boobs) so I look awful in those edge-to-edge styles. I was thinking maybe a fitted blazer - in navy? Or in cream/white?? But have any of you wise ladies any other suggestions?!

Also - can anyone recommend a blazer which suits someone with big boobs?!

Arrrrrgh!

How about this?

TSSDNCOP · 07/06/2018 13:43

I’ve got it, I’m a 36FF

HerRoyalNotness · 07/06/2018 13:47

No help, but I love that dress! Not normally a cold shoulder fan, but that is lovely

snaggers · 07/06/2018 13:56

Ooh, thanks @TSSDNCOP, I'll check it out!

@HerRoyalNotness It's really nice, isn't it?! I don't like a lot of these cold shoulder styles, but this one's really elegant - and I love the print! Can't wait to wear it!

I would go for a wrap in a bright emerald / teal. The dress is fabulous. You want something equally gorgeous and eye catching to go with it. That if a little bolero / shrug cardigan. I have a beautiful one from monsoon firm about ten years ago.

What about something like this?
Less structured than a jacket

LorelaiVictoriaGilmore · 07/06/2018 14:10

Lovely dress - where is it from?

Fitted navy blazer. Cream won't look right and anything less structured than a blazer runs the risk of being aging.

Thanks ladies! Smile

The dress is from House of Fraser (Linea): www.houseoffraser.co.uk/women/linea-fiona-overlay-dress/d872331.pd#286655487,q=cold-shoulder-dress

Those shoes are awful and not occasion appropriate. They look like you're trying too hard and they look cheap. The espadrille part is fine, the gold strappiness is not.

Love the dress & the shoes, very chic looking 😁

SinglePringle · 07/06/2018 15:38

White blazer / tax style jacket. Not a shrug, it’ll kill it.

Xiaoxiong · 07/06/2018 17:02

Agree with Lorelai - fitted navy blazer. Mango have some nice ones in at the minute. I'm a size 12, 5'6" with 32GG and I got the size 40 in these two for the summer, either would work for you I think:

I prefer the navy blazer option. Lovely dress. Take sunscreen!!! Got very badly burnt at a polo match at Guards several years ago. Was expecting it to be overcast but the sun popped out and there was nowhere to hide. Have fun!
