5'8 no waist (short body) ok lower legs thighs could do with a few inches being shaved off, decent arse, tummy not great, massive boobs.

Unfortunately I need a swimming costume, as I don't wear them at all often I don't want to pay shed loads for a miracle suit, where do you get yours?

this one is good in my experience. We're roughly the same height and figure.

QueenOfIce · 06/06/2018 20:06

Thank you, not really what I had in mind though.

Bravissimo does swimming costumes.

NotAgainYoda · 06/06/2018 20:25

You could also try Landsend. Not sure how big their cup sizes are, but they have nice styles and are slimming

DianaT1969 · 06/06/2018 20:33

Try the sale pages on:

Ample Bosom
Brastop
Leia Lingerie
Airy Mary
Simply Beach
Belle Lingerie

All good for supportive fuller bust swimwear.

Tkmaxx can be good too if you're near a big store.

BlueKittens · 06/06/2018 21:18

Bravissimo or Fig leaves

You might be able to squeeze a large bust into M&S (I have) they are much cheaper but still very flattering

Zoggs

TheClitterati · 06/06/2018 22:36

I'm 5'8 and f/g cup. I got a nice swimsuit from whisper Asda recently.

I can't wear halter necks as the neck pain isn't worth it, which limits my options somewhat.

Oh I've got a good one will try and work out where from...

QueenOfIce · 06/06/2018 22:42

Thank you, halter necks look ok on me balances out my shoulders. I'm trying to find an excuse to 'forget' my cossie and avoid the water!

I got a great Panache one from Next - have a look at Next they do lots of 'bra-size' swimwear

Bodicea · 07/06/2018 07:58

Then nexttummy control one is flattering.

Fig leaves for a bit of a showstopper.

MinesaPinot · 07/06/2018 09:06

I had the same problem OP, 14/16, but I'm long waisted, carrying a bit lot round my tummy, and was off to Mallorca for work event with slim young things and in urgent need of swimsuit.

I bought an Elle Sport one from TK Maxx with tummy control. Absolutely fabulous. Halter neck, slimming side panels but flowery front. I felt really good in it. Hadn't seen them anywhere else but popped into TK Maxx last weekend and they another in the same shape but different design which I snapped up - it's this one www.tkmaxx.com/uk/en/women/clothing/swimwear+beachwear/swimwear/swimsuits/black+navy-print-halterneck-swimsuit/p/51020764

I admit that the pick makes it look a tad frumpy, but it really isn't, and gives a good shape. What swung it for me is that it isn't cut high up the sides as I struggle with that sometimes.

MinesaPinot · 07/06/2018 09:11

Quick PS OP, just had a look on the TK Maxx website and they've got several Elle Sport swimsuits in good shapes and colours.

LikeSilver · 07/06/2018 09:16

I’m a 30H and can only get away with bra sized swimsuits. Have a look on Brastop.com. I like the Curvy Kate tankinis (although I am shorter than you at 5’6” so they may show an inch or so of tummy on you which you may or may not be happy with) and I have a Freya swimsuit which is flattering. I love Panache bras but their swimsuits don’t seem to last very long for me. Lingerie Outlet store is good too.

ovenchips · 07/06/2018 09:43

I now wear halter neck swimsuits despite being huge of nork using a ‘Halto’. It’s a cushioned clip thing that you thread straps through and sits on your neck preventing that otherwise boulder pressing on neck feeling. Think I bought mine on Brastop.

Has made huge difference for me. I think halter necks can give good support as you can tie straps quite tightly and feel very uplifted and secure. The Halto has now made this comfortable for me as really wasn’t before.

Member212711 · 07/06/2018 09:49

Just got back from France and having asked around (and had to buy one myself) the answer is definitely Asda! Looked great on everyone. Also M&S got a look in.

QueenOfIce · 07/06/2018 11:46

Thank you! I rather like the Elle sport Mine and the halto is a really good idea oven thanks so much.

I'm off to scour TKMaxx Asda and the like, didn't see any in Bravissimo I liked.

Tk Maxx nip tuck swim. Made by Bonds the Australian underwear company.I’ve bought several bikinis, tankinis and swimming costume. Very very flattering with proper boob support and tummy panels plus ruching. So much more comfortable than miracle suit and the like and a fraction of the price. Lots online and in store .

unintentionalthreadkiller · 07/06/2018 14:34

Debenhams have some good ones

tmh88 · 30/06/2018 07:45

Would a peplum swimsuit work? They cover your stomach really well if that's what you're conscious of! Horrible trying to find a swimsuit but I really like my peplum one!

clarinsgirl · 30/06/2018 07:55

II'm a fan of these Zoggs costumes. They are great for those who are large of nork, come in several colour and you can buy online from wiggle.
