Handbags - is it worth a trip to Bicester village?

I thought I might treat myself to a new bag, is Bicester village worth going to? I see they have a Mulberry shop and other very high end brands, but also more mid-priced brands.

Are the discounts good? I don't mind if they're last season's colours or whatever.

Yes definitely . You won't get current season at the Mulberry shop but it's well worth it if you are open minded about what you want . Get there early before the coaches arrive and avoid weekends if you can .

Be savvy if you do go. Some of the stores name ranges just for the outlets that aren’t finished to as high a standard. For example, they won’t add studs on the bottom, so they scratch more easily. I know mulberry and coach both do outlet “exclusives” but it’s not always obvious at first look, so check them out thoroughly.

Thank you. Other than Mulberry and Coach, are there are any brands that are good to look at?

Worth it!

Gucci, Prada, Kate Spade, Chloe etc all there. Would not buy mulberry- very frumpy.

Yes I always go there to purchase bags. Loads of choice. Longchamp also good, but depends on your style really. There’s something for everyone. Anya Hindmarch, Lulu Guineas, Cochinelle, Stella McCartney, Burberry....the Bicester website lists all the current shops and brands.
I do a lap first, make notes and have a coffee, then sometimes short list and do another lap before making the final purchase Grin

Brilliant thank you.

Like your style moon Smile

Think I might go on the train, it looks like they have a station on site.

Definitely, I buy all my bags there! My last was a beautiful smythson work bag. My top tip is to get there at about 5pm. It’s open til 9pm some evenings but the coaches all leave at about 430-5pm so it is blissfully quiet and staff in stores have far more time to help you.

I like Kate Spade and Cochinelle too, what sort of prices are they at Bicester?

Kate Spade are very well priced, though after the recent sad news I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a mercenary price hike. Can’t help on Cocinelle as have never bought there.

OP Coach have an online sale at moment - I have bought online from them & not had a problem except liking the bags !
