Vanity sizing at Bravissimo

I was in London yesterday, and happened upon a Bravissimo shop. Haven't been in years as there isn't one locally. I knew they'd say my back size was too big, but suspected cup size would only go up one to compensate for smaller back. Went in in M&S 32DD, Bravissimo fit me with a couple of 30FFs. They fitted really well, all good. But the thing is, they are only ever so slightly bigger in the cups than the M&S bra I was wearing!

I can't help but thinking there's a bit of vanity sizing going on. My boobs are definitely nothing more than medium-sized. There's no way I'd be a 30FF or 32F in any other shop.

I’m a size 18/20 and have a 34 back size, which is fastened on the tightest hook, if I measure around my chest it measures 33 inches where is the unrealistic sizing there?

@LambChopsMcGee put them on eBay or similar if you can't return! And let me have first dibs of any 34FF or 32G

It's not vanity sizing its the right size.

It's also not vanity sizing because vanity sizing is about a size that makes the customer feel better. Forget my enormous size 20 arse because ooh I can fit in a size 12.

Bravissimo bra sizing is the oposite of feel good sizing because no one wants breasts that are FF++ because they are a shopping curse and sound repulsively large. Have you ever had a conversation with a man about bra sizes? They have no real idea and think that cup sizing for a porn star is about a DD. If you start talking about GG they are imagining the grotesque.
