Mascara Recommendation

I am going to a wedding in August, so will be wearing make up for the first time in years ages. I am out of the loop on what brands to look at.
So, I need a good lash lengthening mascara and one that won't run.
I know you are supposed to throw them out after 6 months , so would prefer not to spend a fortune
Recommendations please !

Benefit they’re real was always my go to but I have recently discovered L’Oreal paradise and think that it is just as good for less than half the price. Or maybelline lash sensation works just as well and is even cheaper than the l’oreal mascara. I’m always more than willing to splurge on mascara however haven’t found an expensive one that could rival these yet.

Maybe look at a lash primer too for some added length? I use Lancôme cils booster and can recommend that.

L'Oréal 4D in black. It's great! Used it for years and then thought I'd try some others and didn't match up. Also tried another L'Oréal one and wasn't as good, as it seemed to run down my face. The 4D one is £10.99
